Director Ridley Scott is a U2 fan?

As a huge fan of the Alien movie series, it was wild to see a comparison of his upcoming Alien
prequel "Prometheus" to The Joshua Tree of all things! Is he a fan of U2?:

I know Ridley Scott and U2 have invested in a visual effects company called "The Mill", and
Ridley's son Jake directed the video for Staring At The Sun. Likewise, U2 mentioned Ridley's Blade
Runner as an influence on the ZooTV Tour.

Even if he's not and I misread everything, it amazes me how far reaching this band's influence is.
