Bono in Madonna's new onstage montage video.

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Bono (among many other people) is featured in a sort of 'state of the world' montage video played during Madonna's Sticky & Sweet tour:

YouTube - Madonna - Get Stupid

Look for Bono at 2:42.

This is also the same video that caused controversy recently for the inclusion of John McCain (during the 'negative' half of the video, Bono is in the 'positive' half)

That is so one-sided it's pathetic. She's basically saying that Democrats are on par with Mother Theresa and John McCain is evil. I'm sorry that Bono has to be in that video.

*washes eyeballs*

Yeah, I see Madge has bought herself a new face. Material girl, indeed...

I'd comment on the video but it's so silly.

Eh, I sort of agree with you, despite any political differences we probably have. This sort of thing is poorly thought out and too blatantly one-sided and idealistic.

Anyway, fans don't go to Madonna concerts to see stuff like that. They go there in the hope of snorting a line off a prick in the toilet before the encore.

I don't like the video either. Madonna is a great entertainer and performer, but her "political" message is very naive.

I don't think that showing video montages during a concert is anything U2 a) came up with; or b) own any copyrights to. To say she's copying their idea is pretty silly, I think.

That being said, I can't believe people take this kind of Madonna thing so seriously. Not here, but all the ONOEZ OMG you see in the media about this. Um, it's Madonna. She's just doing shit to be controversial and get people all riled up and going ONOEZ OMG.

And that being said, I effing love Madonna.

I've always admired Madonna for her status as a cultural icon, for her intelligence and for the way she controls, manipulates the media and for the way she manages the Madonna machine.

I lost consideration for her after this video.
McCain's the bad guy, Obama's the good one.
McCain near Hitler or Mugabe and Obama next Lennon, Gandhi and... Oprah/Bono?

F-off, Madonna! The bad thing is that her fans seem not to have anythong against it and they follow it as blind sheeps.

How do you know that, though? I mean, it's one thing to give a cheer about something you see at a concert and quite another to be telling people "Yeah, McCain is totally like Hitler" the next day.

I wouldn't equate cheering for it to supporting it like a blind sheep. If they hate McCain, it's highly likely they hated him before Madonna "told them to."

This is how Republicans win elections.

I do find this absolutism rather annoying. Obama is no saint, as is evidenced by his support for the damn $1 trillion socialist bailout for the rich.

That commie bastard.

RUN IN FEAR! RUN! RUN!

Madonna is too old for her image, trying too hard to be hip, and basically embarrassing to look at. Her voice is sounding old too. I don´t take anything she says remotely seriously. She looks like a man.
