Better Song: I Will Follow or Get On Your Boots?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Not a huge fan of either, to be honest. One is too simplistic and repetitive, and the other tries to do far too much.

Talk about random.

Um.... yeah I dont have an answer. Two completely different songs.

Two good but not great songs, for me. The "let me in the sound" part of GOYB is cooler than anything in IWF, but as a whole I Will Follow has a better riff and verse structure, and nothing lame like the "hey, sexy boots!" part of GOYB.

I Will Follow it is.

 I Will Follow - Classic, always.
Boots - I can't say. I haven't lived the history/tour of this one yet.

Only time will tell.
I love I Will Follow - and Boots, I love the best part of it in FEZ.

Why compare these two completely different songs? On what grounds should we compare them? Commercial success? Music technics? Lyrics?

I Will Follow live > Boots live

The studio versions are kind of equal though, both pretty good, 7 out of 10 songs. One uses a bicycle as a musical instrument the other has a really great bridge

What a question...

Get on Your Boots.... by around a billion miles... or light-years....

I didn't think it was random.

But I am surprised at how many people have said Boots. Very interesting.
Which explains alot of the hate I receive whenever I criticize Boots here.

No, I know it wasn't random...
