What a depressing journal entry that was last night

Posted 02-01-2007 at 09:49 AM by phanan

I should know better than to air my deepest thoughts out into the open like that. Good thing there is an edit button.

Not saying what I wrote isn't true - it most certainly is. But this is not the place for that sort of thing.

Think happy thoughts...

Prayers needed ...

Posted 02-01-2007 at 08:56 AM by JessicaAnn

My grandpa underwent a stress test on Monday.

The news was not good. There are "irregularities."

Tomorrow he will have a cardiac catheterization and have a stent put in. His veins are quite fragile ... if the stent tears a vein, he will need surgery. If the damage is serious, it will mean open heart surgery (likely that very same day).

I am trying to be positive, but I have bad feelings about this.

Muse at the Festival Hall on Tuesday

Posted 02-01-2007 at 04:37 AM by Saracene

Overblown, over-the-top, crackpot, excessive, melodramatic, ridiculously bombastic stuff - and I love it. Fucking awesome (and I don't use that expression lightly). So good I even got a T-shirt afterwards and I've only ever bought band merchandise at Elevation and Vertigo tours. I officially love Muse now.

I was very happy to see Ground Components open since I missed out on them at the Big Day Out. They were fantastic, although the lead singer's voice and delivery style is definitely...

A woman bought a painting during the SK Birthday sale, which of course was on September 13. She planned to get it framed and give it to her boyfriend for Christmas. I mailed the painting out to her in California (from Ohio) on September 20 Priority Mail Insured via the USPS. It should have arrived in two to three days.

In early December she emails me wondering where the package is as it hasn't arrived yet. Oh crap. By then it had been six weeks and I had the sinking feeling...

Work & Prison

Posted 02-01-2007 at 01:11 AM by fah

Just in case you ever get these two environments mixed up, this should make things a little bit clearer:

you spend the majority of your time in a 10X10 cell
you spend the majority of your time in an 8X8 cubicle

you get three meals a day fully paid for
you get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it

you get time off for good behavior
you get more work for good behavior
