The Polar Bear Dip

It's done and dusted now and I'm glad I stuck to my guns and actually completed it. I was 5th best fundraiser (and had some additional donations come in afterwards that would have lifted me officially up to 3rd) I was surprised by how many people wanted to support me. I think there was an obvious shock factor. Neely? Water? Now? I'd pay money to see that. It was a hook that worked.
Yesterday I wore my shorts and t-shirt from the moment I got up until after the dip itself when I was soaking wet. It really did help a great deal, there wasn't a major shock when I hit the water as I was already acclimatized. That being said, it was still cold lol.
We managed to raise over $5000 dollar for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. Pretty impressive for a little village like ours. Loved the dip, looking forward to next year!
