Enroute as I type. Arriving in Toronto at 6 tonight. Will be their second time in Canada - their fiirst visit was June 2 years ago. Back then I wasn't living with Jody and I most certainly didn't have a 6 month old daughter. I also didn't have a ceiling in my kitchen but thats another story.
Will be the first time they will have seen Cailey Eve. I know my mum cannot wait and I am sure my Dad is equally excited. Lots of wee trips planned for the 2 and a bit weeks they are here. Thankfully the weather has picked up and is a balmy 24 degrees C. Balmy in comparison to back home in Ireland where its rain rain rain.
I am now officially a Canadian perm. resident. Yay for Canadian officials making wise decisions. I can apply for citizenship if I so desire in July 2011. Luckily I get to keep my Irish passport so having dual citizenship is definitely a major plus.
Last entry was about my ligament tear. 2 months later an MRI scan confirmed 2 ligaments torn and a bruised bone. Never knew bones could bruise but there you go. I would have been better off breaking ankle as that would have taken 3 months to heal. Ligaments.. a year to get back to 80%. There hasn't been much healing going on so I am going to see a specialist. My doctor seems to think I will need an operation.
Another scar to add to the 5 I already have.

This entry makes me smile. Well the entry about your family and the life changes that has occurred makes me smile.
Your injury is not worth smiling at. Again, I understand the pain you are going through. I thankfully did not need surgery, but there was a point that I wish I had it because the pain was unbearable at times and I could not stand the feeling of my ankle "slipping" away from my foot when I would walk. That memory makes me cringe. Eventually my injury healed but yes, it did take some time (a couple of years) for it all to sort itself out and for me to feel confident enough to do any activity on it without wearing a brace. Best of luck with the healing and rehab.Posted 09-03-2009 at 10:50 PM by MissVelvetDress_75
