move along, nothing to see here

Well, here I am, sitting and writing in this online journal rather than doing the reading I need to do for the first day of classes tomorrow. But, really, what's going to be of more use to me in the future - Federal Income Tax and International Litigation and Arbitration, or getting in touch with my innermost thoughts and feelings?

O.K., it's the former. But I'm lazy. C'est la vie.

I'm actually excited about going back. I've been missing everyone from school. It's nice the way that happens. You go through a semester, and by the end of it you're thoroughly sick of every single person at UT Law. After two weeks at home, you're ready to go back and kiss them all. Of course, it would be best if I could see all of them without that pesky class stuff getting in the way.

Since this is hosted on the marvelous Interference, I feel like I should put some U2 content in every entry. Today, I watched some of the Best of 1990-2000 DVD, including the documentaries on the making of Electrical Storm and One. I know that the Corbijn video of One was supposed to be artistic and deeply meaningful, but I still crack up every time I see Adam in a dress. I watched the video for Beautiful Day again, and it reminds me of what a fantastic song that is...not only one of the best U2 has ever written, but among the best of all time. It's just so soaring and uplifting, the type of song that cheers you up and makes you happy to be alive. The video reflects that wonderfully.

Other things I've been watching - the Mavericks beating the Clippers today on Telemundo, making me both happy and aware of the fact that I need to seriously brush up on my Spanish. The Season 2 DVD set of Father Ted, which is one of the most hilarious programs I've ever come across. Why can't we make them like this in America? The Season 3 DVD set of Buffy - my favorite season, and great to see again without the FX network cuts.

Which reminds me...no new Buffy this week due to stupid UPN f*ck up show. New Angel, however, which is of the good.

Should probably go to bed. Must get up early (eek!).

Dream out loud,
Courtney Dachelle :-)
