I posted this in the first edition of the previous entry, which I deleted.. so I'll post it again. Carrolls is a great place to pick up gift-stuffs for bringing back to friends and family, they can be a bit overpriced though. On O'Connell Street, just past Cleary's there is a little Factory Outlet shop that has most of the clothes and some of the jewelry and such that Carroll's has.. but for a fraction of the price. Naturally, we found it AFTER we had done all our gift shopping at Carroll's.. just...

It was a remarkable trip for sure. I'm looking forward to going again, maybe for a longer period of time.

Seriously. What a place that is. It's out of a frikkin' fairy tale. Something else really! My moms boyfriend took us up there for a night. Incredible. We had to dress up for dinner and had a five course meal. Now to me, a small town Canadian girl, going to a fancy restaurant usually means hauling out my best jeans and heading down to the Swiss Chalet. But this, like the whole castle experiance itself, was the real deal. I thought I would get stuffed fast, but the food was quite light (and delicious)....

So in the papers today in Dublin they say that both Bono and Ali went to the REM show the other night. Nice to know they're in town.

We drove through Dalkey yesterday. I think we found Bono's gates. I guess Edge lives near there too, so that was cool. Saw Point Depot today and the shop that has the U2 guitar for sale was closed.. but I could see it through the window.
