In the U.S.:
  • Remains at #3 on the Modern Rock charts;
  • Remains at #3 on the Mainstream Rock charts;
  • Increases to #3 on the Hot Download charts;
  • Increases to #13 on the Adult Top 40 charts;
  • Despite the above rises or stagnation, inexpliclably drops from #31 to #36 on the Hot 100 charts.

Anyone have a tally of all 10 weeks on the U.S. charts?

Also, any info. from other countries?

I think they need to get ABOY to radio in January. With the album released, I thought Vertigo would move up in airplay.

Top 100 - 46,45,44,39,32,32,32,31,31,36
Modern Rock - 18,4,2,2,1,1,1,1,3,3
Mainstream Rock - 27,12,10,6,5,4,4,3,3,3
Adult Top 40 - 35,23,19,18,18,19,17,15,15,13
Digital - NA,1,4,4,1,1,1,3,4,3

I guess I am a loser for writing this down every week. :reject:

No you're not. I was looking for a chart run of Beautiful Day (for a comparison with Vertigo). But unless Doc (or somebody else) has it somewhere in his personal archive, it doesn't exist freely on the 'Net. Interference only goes back to July 2001 and I don't want to wade through 2500 articles of YouTwo.net to find it.

Don't have a chart run for Beautiful Day, just know the highest positions.

Hot 100 - 21
Modern Rock - 5
Mainstream Rock - 14
Adult Top 40 - 4
Mainstream Top 40 - 19 (this is why Vertigo didn't chart higher)
Top 40 Tracks - 15 (this too, though I think this is just a blend of Adult and Mainstream)
Dance/Club Play - 1 (must of been a remix)

Thanks!:up:

Heh, so "Walk On" took home the big kahuna Record of the Year at the Grammys...and peaked at 118. And "Elevation" which everyone seems to know, only hit #116....granted, it didn't get much radio play, but it was all over the MTV/VH1/MuchMusic airwaves for quite some time.

Vertigo remix

On the Dance/Club Music chart, Vertigo (Jacknife Lee remix) goes from 20 to 16. This song is moving up fast, and like BD, it may go to #1 on this chart.

I suppose this is measured in big city markets at the most popular/biggest night clubs, so it's probably good exposure.

I remember somewhere reading that Paul M. was very happy when the Lemon remix went to #1 on this chart. Of course, at the time, I think that was their objective.

This is why the hot 100 is completely flawed, it doesn't actually reflect the taste of the music listening public at all...
