Elevation at #1 this week in the Dutch charts!!

U2 has had only two #1 singles in Holland in their entire carreer, Beautifull Day and Elevation!!

Those concerts last week in Arnhem really boosted sales!

And to add to all the good news. In the charts next week U2 will have 3 albums in the top 100, of which 2 in the top 10!

At #78 (a re-entry in its 78th week): The Joshua Tree
At #9 (from 43): The Best Of 1980-1990
At #7 (from 15): All That You Can't Leave Behind.

Talk about a sales boost due to the concerts!

Oh, and on a totally unrelated subject (but still dealing with sales and U2): in today's newspaper (De Telegraaf) there was an article stating that during the 3 U2 concerts the revenues of the drinks equalled the revenues they had during the soccer matched FOR A WHOLE YEAR. Who said that U2 fans weren't thirsty?

omg awesome. i checked and it is true for the megatop 100. new top 40 is not yet shown on wanadoo website, but teeth is it going to be 1 there also??

well yes it does. so therefore it is no. 1 at the sales only chart (top 100) and combined sales/airplay chart (top 40) hiphip
