First of all, congratulations to U2 on winning five grammies! They made an outstanding album. They deserve each and every grammy! But, winning a Grammy is not the "end all, is all". It really is just an accolade and recognition for superior work. Plain and simple!

Don't get me wrong, I like Vertigo, but nearly everyone has heard this song before (via the iPod commercial). Why not perform COBL, which is an awesome song, is nominated for a Grammy and is a song that is new and fresh for the casual fan?

Sorry, but that doesn't make any sence. Didn't Vertigo win a Grammy last year? Why would they perform a song from last year's Grammies?

Just a heads up.... I just saw on Entertainment Tonight that Bono and Mary J. Blige are scheduled to sing a duet on the Grammy's. I can't wait!

Their performance of Until The End of the World at their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I loved it when Bono went into the audience and sang to people. Also when he squirted people with a bottle of champagne!

Here's my 2 cents on the Grammy's.... Album of the Year nominations are based, for the most part, on commercial success of the CD or artist and/or how many top 40 hits came off the CD, therefore, Mariah and Gwen got nominated because of this. So, it does not matter that their CD's are crappy...

I think they were pissed because he left the stage. Supposedly, the incident almost broke up the band. I believe I read this in the book "Bono: In Conversation with Michka Assayas", but I don't have the book with me, so I cannot be sure.

Didn't Bono do this at the first Live Aid also? I think he spotted a girl from far away and left the stage for a really long time to go get her and bring her on stage and the band was really pissed at him. Didn't he almost quit the band over this?
