    Vertigo and The Bible

At the Dublin 2 gig, we had Ex 3: 14 written on an upside down Tricolour (Irish flag). We got a wee nod from Bono... then he started talking about Blessings and Being Blessed... I reckon we got it right!

    last line of Yahweh

Personally, I don't find it depressing, I find it spiritually uplifting. It is a song to God. Bono is humbling hiself before his God. For any man to do this, in todays society, takes a lot of guts and is therefore a very positive step. God bless bono. He's a top notch bloke.

I guess it's an American thing. The Church and State are really quite seperate here. There are some Judeo-Christian ideals, but not many! I see that you try to point out that it is [I]certain[I] elements twisting things, but we Christians can get quite shirty about the use of the word...

A minute ago you called it a lie... And I know what your posts said... I just don't think that it is fair that you whitewash us all for what right wing fundementalists in your own country get on like!!! Or should I assume that you, like some of your countrymen, get off on War?

Certain being the right word here, not all of us!!!! Actually, as someone who has studied many religions around the world.... You do find them doing just that.

You should tell that to my cousin and her boyfriend, oh and their nine year old son.... Oh, by the way, I'm a Christian. I use condoms. Your arguement ends there then.

Never thought I'd say it...'Streets' has lost it's energy.

I disagree... the Dublin 2 gig that I was at was alive at that point in the proceedings. Totally energised by the song!

Yep. Who cares if the Nuclear Plant blows up? As Denis Leary once said "I didn't break the planet, it was this way when I found it!"

Christian Rock is the most hypocritical thing ever....

Apparently, woman and men around the world do enough praising DURING sex... so, they don't need to sing about it in Church. I have to look at some of the older folk who go to my Church... could NEVER look them in the eye again, if I heard them praising God for their Love Making skills...

    10 Commandments Displays

Faith was here before fact. fact is faith based. You have to believe, have faith in, the person who tells you the information, so you can use it yourself. EG: You can see that the sun rises in the east, but who told you it was the east? Therefore, you have faith!

Evening all. I'm Doc and i'm from Belfast in Norn Iron (Northern ireland, to the uninitiated). Have been a huge U2 fan for 15 years now, but have listened to them longer than that, thanks to an older brother and a loud stereo system! Anyways, dunno how I found this forum, but decided to join up...

Out of Control and Party Girl debut on 2nd night in Dublin...

I mean, lets face it. It is the HTDAAB Tour. Therefore, expect more songs from that Album. As for playing Vertigo twice. They are trying to make a huge impact with that song! Ergo, twice a night... bet yer girlfriends can't claim that!

Out of Control and Party Girl debut on 2nd night in Dublin...

Well, I happened to think that the boys did a grand aul job when they played Dublin 2. As did the 80,000 people around me. SO, QUIT COMPLAINING!
