    Antony & The Johnsons appreciation thread

    I love both albums and was lucky enough to see them 2 years ago in York (U.K.).It's worth going to see them just for the weird and wonderful people you get in the audience.

    Indie Music & Its Place In Rock History

    I totally agree.It's a form of snobbery in my opinion.I remember when i was at school in the mid-eighties (in the U.K.) it was realy uncool to like U2 as they played bigger venues than some backstreet pub ,so of course they must have 'sold out to the MAN'.The irony is of course that the bigger a...

    MERGED ---> Best Rock 'n Roll Yell! + Yeaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!

    I was about 10 rows from the front at LIVE8 and he did it as good as ever.They were the highlight of the day for me.What about Johnny Rotten yelling "Dowwwwnnnn" during the Sex Pistols 'I Wanna be me' just before the silence and it starts up again?

    Could U2 pull off a 2 hours and a half show?

    I saw Pink Floyd on 'The momentary lapse of reason' tour in '89 and they played for over 3 hrs with a 20 minute intermission which worked well.I know it's a totally differen't type of gig but it's still an option.

    Live 8 Vote Who was the best on the day? Vote now!

    I was lucky enough to be 10ft from stage (dead centre) and for me seeing Floyd with Roger Waters was possibly the most moving experience i've ever had at a gig.I've seen them six times (now seven) before(4 times on Momentary lapse,2 Division bell)and i would trade all six previous gigs for those...

    MERGED --> LIVE 8 setlist...so friggin predictable

    I was lucky enough to be there (10ft from front, centre stage) and i thought 'One' was pretty flat as i did at Manchester. It still remains in my all time top 5 tunes but the emotion doesn't seem to translate(i.m.o.) on this tour.I thought Unchained Melody worked well but they should of kept the...
