    Best Performance so far is???

Van 1 was off the hook. Too bad no quality recording of it. Bad was unbelievable and the crowd energy was infectious.

April 28, General Motors Place in Vancouver

WOW. Before going in to the show, I thought that there was no way it could live up to my expectations/hopes. The buzz around Van has been all U2, everywhere you go. Filmed the video; rumors about the DVD. How do they possibly live up to the hype, I asked myself. Then they come out and...

Arriving late and getting into Ellipse

Plan on going with a tasting menu of some sort...going early (5:30), plus hoping to wheel and deal, given how we'll be the only people there. I bet Feenie is going to the show... Totally worth it...And I'm fairly hardcore.

U2 Video being shot in Vancouver

I thought I was pushing it writing an exam today: Apr 27. and then flying out tomorrow before returning the next day, only to write a huge exam on Sat. A.M. Having read your posts...I feel WAY better. Study...then go hard on Friday. (no more posting till then, study!, then give us the best...

Arriving late and getting into Ellipse

I am doing this also, but am 5'11. Don't imagine back will be all that bad (back floor not as bad behind back floor); plus bonus*may get in ellipse*; plus can find perfect spot for /sound/view/production. PLUS, dinner at Lumiere before concert = too hard to pass up. At least I have a...

Can I be your friend? For me: ticket: 50 bucks (GA) airfare: 250 - Calgary to Vancouver Dinner at "lumiere": 150 hotel: 50-75 - looking for a dive Writing my corporate securities law exam 2 days later... - not sure about the 'cost' of this yet!

What's Worse at a U2 show? Clappers, Screamers, Drunks or Smokers?

At 160 bucks a ticket, don't I have a right to ask something of U2. And, LOL at the 'mind altering drugs are out of fashion' comment The absolute worst is people singing right near you out of key...or clapping. Smoke what ever you want, but if you do it near me, I'm asking for a toke.

Hey Bono, stop skipping the scream in ABOY

Completely agree. He is way too high on city of blinding lights as well. I recently listened to the Dublin 93 zzotv show, and zoo station and the fly were infinitely better. For those who have that recording, listen to the difference in the bass. I know I'm in the minority, but I think they...

    Whats wrong with Vertigo??

Notes: BTBS - I like it...it is a far more reflective version and quite polished IMO. RTSS - good, but NOTHING will top the ZOOTV version. Zoo Station - Bono should just sing the real words...he is ruining the song IMO...again not as good as numerous zootv versions i've heard. The Fly - OK...

Anaheim I Setlist Watch and Thread Party.

maybe they have something planned especially for this sad night...one John Paul II is likely not goin to see the end of. Bono must have a heavy night tonight. This would be a great show...and tomorrows should be even more powerful. On a totally unrelated note, I initially hated the new...

    Concerning Bono's Voice...

I personally think Bono's voice is the biggest question mark on this tour. The new songs are all so vocally demanding, and while it cannot be denied that he has found a new and better voice than he had on Elevation, it remains to be seen how it holds up. SD1...not even an attempt at the best...

I've only ever heard the new year's one...but given your enthusiasm I have to believe I could be wrong about this one.:hmm:

San Diego 2 - So pyched for tonight (thanks interference)

Be happy there is a live cut of One Tree Hill on Lovetown. It just doesn't really present well live IMO. Also "Good Show" makes me nervous...

San Diego 2 - So pyched for tonight (thanks interference)

I love it. However, I bet they don't play Bad because, again, it is very vocally demanding. On the Boston DVD he REALLY struggled with it. On the other hand, Pride seems to be a stapple, and he can't sing that anymore either. I guess he wants it in for surmonizing purposes. At least the...

San Diego 2 - So pyched for tonight (thanks interference)

Heartland would be sweet, but do you really think the Man could even sing RHMT now? I don't. While I love his voice now, the treatment that song would require could only be handled by joshua tree Bono. I am a little worried about him losing his voice on this tour. In All Because of You on...

Gloria and WOWY added to tonights setlist

WOWY is likely the most popular U2 song of all time (to the genral public)

Gloria and WOWY added to tonights setlist

if I had a choice, I would actually take the An Cat Dubh/Into the heart over Gloria/WOWY thought they sounded great. I have a bad feeling Pride is a staple on this tour.

Into to Streets Not as good as Elevation tour

I like the chanting part. Nothing will ever match Slane intro to streets as long as we live...but he will bring the magic; give him a couple shows. Now if only he could remember the words to his own songs:wink:
