May I also have a clean version? I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks for your help. gregferrao@gmail.com

Almost a Year from U2's Performance at Madison Square Garden Fan tries to steal show

I was there too, about 20 people away from the incident. I actually have it on video. Bono should have been screaming at the entire inside of the ellipse...EVERYONE was taking pix and had their cells out. Very strange.

Why stand in line if the ellipse is all luck?

One would think you need to get there at 4am the night before to get a good position. I had 2 sets of GA tix for both Elevation and Vertigo at Madison Square Garden and have had tremendous success getting amazing spots by showing up maybe 1 to 1.5 hours before the doors open. I've never been...

    MSG security

I had my camera in my pocket on Friday. The security gaurd at the GA door felt it and told me not to use it when I was inside. Yeah right. It was raining so hard on Saturday night they started letting people into the door earlier then usual. Only people with bags were getting searched. I...

    MERGED-->Earplugs + Plugs

I went to the 10/7 MSG (GA rail of the ellipse) and did not use earplugs--ears were ringing the entire next day. Used a cheap pair of foam earplugs during the 10/8 MSG show (inside the ellipse front and center on the main stage rail). They worked fine. No problems and I felt fine the next...

I was the guy with the phone @ MSG #2 10/8/05 - FACTS

I happen to be using the video tape feature on my camera when the incident happened. I have about a 15 second clip but I'm not sure how to post it here. I was in the ellipse, on the rail against the stage about 10-15 feet to the left of where the incident took place. Bono seemed genuinely...

MERGED--> Terror alert in NYC-MSG + No waiting for tickets allowed...

Considering Penn Station runs directly below MSG and there is a subway on practically every corner security throughout the entire city will be MUCH heavier--both in the subways and above ground--including MSG. Just wondering if the security guards will continue to turn a blind eye now that ever...

MERGED--> Terror alert in NYC-MSG + No waiting for tickets allowed...

Terror alert in NYC-MSG Do you think bringing a camera into MSG tomorrow will be a problem now that there is a newly raised "terror alert" in NYC as of this afternoon? I've always brought a camera into other shows but I was never very obvious about it. Sort of hid it. Now security will...

Has Edge's biggest fear come true?

I just finished reading "Bono: In Conversation...". Interesting book that would put to rest a lot of these debates. The writer asks Bono a lot of these types of questions. Bono's said that if he or the band finds something that "works" and creates a magical moment they'll use it throughout...

Even more important question... Will there be a next tour?

Terrible sound at Glasgow gig, is this par for the course on this tour

I find it hard to believe that U2 are struggling with sound quality. What drives me crazy is they have played the majority of these stadiums/arenas multiple times throughout their career. I can understand poor/inconsistent sound quality 20 years ago but with all the technology and equipment...

How much do U2 actually stand to make?

Thought I read each member will clear $30-$40 million dollars based on the current 2005 touring schedule.

    were manchester shows sold outs?

I just saw a 360 degree picture from the Manchester field on atu2.com. I have to say the concert looked extremely odd. Lots of empty seats, the GA area didn't even look that full, and it was BRIGHT sunlight. In fact it looked kind of boring--people just standing there with their arms crossed.

    Madison Square Garden?

I've seen U2 quite a few times at MSG (as well as many other big bands). On paper MSG seems like an amazing place to see U2--the buzz of NYC, lots of hype about the show, tough ticket to get, etc . In reality it's mediocre. Typically the shows are a bit stiff--lots of industry people good...

They are both configurations of LEDs.

    Vertigo screen vs Popmart screen

Has anyone on this board been to BOTH a European Vertigo show and a Popmart show? Curious which screen has a better resolution in person? Based on the pictures (even from far away) the Vertigo screen seems very blocky. Popmart seemed to have a better resolution--kind of strange considering...

Brussels Rehearsal Setlist Party--- Part Deux!

No it isn't actually. Read the Book "U2 Show"--it's a book documenting their past tours. There's a passage from the guy who wrote the speeches for the Zoo TV tour. Very interesting.

Brussels Rehearsal Setlist Party--- Part Deux!

Bono has hired writers to compose his speeches on past tours.

    Bullet with Butterfly Wings

I was at the May 17th show in NJ where he slipped it in. Bono basically repeats the line "Despite all my rage..." a couple times. It's one of things where the lyrics sound so familiar yet it takes a few seconds to figure out where it's from because it's being used in a different song. It's...

MERGED--> Live Sound Reinforcement breakdown + Vertigo Tour audio

Great article. Interesting paragraph: "Every show is being recorded, and so far, the tracks have been used on VH1 and HBO. Plans are also in the works to offer live recordings or work with a service such as iTunes."

    Spring/Summer 2006

Any chance of U2 coming back to the USA in the spring/summer of 2006 to play stadium shows? The Zoo tour did go from March '92 to December '93...almost 2 years. I think it's interesting that they would design and build a HUGE stadium production and use it for less then half the tour...

    Bono Singing To Track?

No I'm saying that it is documented in the book U2 Show, which is backed by U2, that Bono has used a speech writer in the past. What's the big deal????
