I find it hard to believe that U2 are struggling with sound quality. What drives me crazy is they have played the majority of these stadiums/arenas multiple times throughout their career. I can understand poor/inconsistent sound quality 20 years ago but with all the technology and equipment...

I just saw a 360 degree picture from the Manchester field on atu2.com. I have to say the concert looked extremely odd. Lots of empty seats, the GA area didn't even look that full, and it was BRIGHT sunlight. In fact it looked kind of boring--people just standing there with their arms crossed.

Has anyone on this board been to BOTH a European Vertigo show and a Popmart show? Curious which screen has a better resolution in person? Based on the pictures (even from far away) the Vertigo screen seems very blocky. Popmart seemed to have a better resolution--kind of strange considering...

No it isn't actually. Read the Book "U2 Show"--it's a book documenting their past tours. There's a passage from the guy who wrote the speeches for the Zoo TV tour. Very interesting.

Any chance of U2 coming back to the USA in the spring/summer of 2006 to play stadium shows? The Zoo tour did go from March '92 to December '93...almost 2 years. I think it's interesting that they would design and build a HUGE stadium production and use it for less then half the tour...

No I'm saying that it is documented in the book U2 Show, which is backed by U2, that Bono has used a speech writer in the past. What's the big deal????
