I don't see U2 selling 95k tickets for the Washington DC show. The show is on a Tuesday night and I think the casual fan will be intimidated by traffic and ticket prices. I don't think U2 has a strong enough fan base to sell 10k tickets at $250 even if the show was on a weekend.

I love stadium shows. The atmosphere is more festive and energetic. People are going to get pushed...it's a rock concert.

Who says they have to wait to start rehearsing until after the official album drop? They could already be rehearsing for an April arena tour in the states. OR- even better, I like the idea of a St Patricks Day release and a free stadium show! That would generate some publicity.

First single will be released in early March 2009, album following on April 1, and a US stadium tour starting starting May/June. Europe starting July/August. US/Canada arena tour in October/November. A random New Years Eve show. South America in February 2010. Australia and Pacific in March...

I think they like the controlled setting an indoor arena offers. Mixing it up would be cool but I doubt it'll happen. My biggest suggestions for the next tour. Raise the ticket price a couple bucks to cover the additional man hours- but all tickets must be picked up at the will-call window.

Think about how much extra money you will have to spend on trips next time they tour. I use to smoke and still get pissed at myself when I go for a run. Go jump off a cliff, at least you will have an adrenaline rush instead of a slow drawn out death. Stay strong!

Nothing will top the anticipation and excitement of my first U2 show last May but Pearl Jam put on one hell of a show. Radiohead and Dave Matthews are also always really good shows.

I always wait at least a day. I think anymore than 3 though the luster sort of wears off. For me at least, after a couple days without any contact the excitement sort of wears thin.

Theres just something about sitting around online, listening to music and smoking cigs.

You are totally right, I would just get bored as shit playing almost the identical concert everynight.
