Songs of Experience - Part 2

Agree with Newsweek except for SOI. I feel that's a perfect album.

I know music is subjective but come on Keef, keep it classy.

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/music/keith-richards-plenty-plenty-article-1.2346653 I mean I'm a fan of Hip Hop, Metal, and the Rolling Stones so I'm not going to take sides here but blatantly bashing other genres and bands has never been 'oh so cool and hip.' It rather makes one look...

SOI autopsy - what went wrong?

No autopsy went needed. Nothing went wrong. The numbers speak for themselves.

    Volcano - Song Discussion

'Volcano' is similar to 'Red Light' with the "na na na.." backing vocals only better though. One of the best songs on SOI.

The last song U2 ever plays

'Is That All?' It would be quite a cool, final question to ask the audience.

    U2 Ticket Sales 101 - 12/4/14 and onward

I'm willing to buy 2 tickets off your hands for that very show, if your willing to get rid of 2/4 tickets that is. It is depending on what price and section though.

    U2 Ticket Sales 101 - 12/4/14 and onward

I really wish U2 hadn't gone to bed with LN. I wish they shared more of Pearl Jam's attitude towards TM.

Songs of Innocence - Album Discussion Pt.2

I have say, with all due respect to Eno, Lanois, and Lillywhite, good riddance to them!! With the exception of 8 out of 11 songs on NLOTH, their production started to sound tired and rote for most of the previous decade. I am still a fan of those three just as long as they remain parted with U2...

    Let's talk about Adam.

Agree with both! My other favorite Adam songs beside 'Iris' are RBW, TIWYCRMN, and of course...'Volcano.'

    Volcano - Song Discussion

Volcano is what Glastonbury wished it was. I'm glad they found a far superior home to that guitar riff. Volcano is one of the first tracks in a long time where I feel U2 sound like an actual band playing together in close proximity.

    Let's talk about Adam.

I really feel that he so rocks on this album to the point that it's as if he is possessed by John Entwistle. Especially on 'Iris' where his sounds the busiest. Although his bass playing owned NLOTH, SOI makes Adam sound AWOL on the former. I swear, in my opinion, all four members are on their A...

Ok NOW I understand Ian Mcculloch's antipathy towards U2

The American Football 'Stuck In a Moment.....' video is one of the very rare examples of why I would be on Team Ian. However, they(U2)made up for the above-mentioned excrement with the UK/Europe version, which in my opinion should have been the definitive video for the US as well...

    Re-Rate the Song: Invisible

I am on the fence about this song. On the one hand I like the Speak And Spell-era Depeche Mode flavor it has to it and the mantra at the end. On the other hand it's a bit too hypersensitive and melodramatic, even for U2 standards.
