    Is Narcissism Really That Prevalent?

Here's a link to an article about the 10000 hour rule not being true http://healthland.time.com/2013/05/20/10000-hours-may-not-make-a-master-after-all/ Hope it works!

    monogamy

I thought I would just jump in and say that when I was in my twenties and thirties I couldn't imagine being in a relationship without sex. But then, I realized how much things change when you are with someone. Not for everyone, but a lot of the popular ideas about what is needed in a...

A quick question for those who saw a Zoo TV show in person.

The opening of the concert was spectacular and that's all I remember although I saw the show something like ten times. Still one of my favorites of all time, although I also liked the starkness of Joshua Tree tour.

Q Magazine: Lennon & Me by Bono

I think it might actually be "to be kicked or kissed into shape" It doesn't look like hugged to me?

    June 16, 2010 - Oakland Coliseum - CA

Hey Bonocomet, Union Square is a good area, and if you decide you want to take BART to the show it's easy to get to from there.

Be careful walking in that area. It's not a safe place.

    Bono's Vocal Range

As my vocal teacher used to say, Celine Dion has great technique but who wants to listen to it, it's totally cold. I much prefer Bono's "throat singing" years only because of the emotion he was feeling and singing with. Granted that messed up his voice and perhaps if he had learned technique...

Oops still can't figure out how to insert quotes.

Anyone Met Member Of U2 But Got Snubbed?

Bono told me to FOAD when I asked him about getting involved with the One campaign. I thought that was a little harsh, seeing as he is always asking for support, ya know? You guys, she's quoting from this, which is on page four of this thread...and has a smiley face.

I'm pretty sure that was a joke Mary.

    Willie Williams Role

During Joshua Tree my friend and I hung out with Willie and I have to say he is one of the nicest people (like all of the people that work for U2). At the time he told us that he is employed by the band even when they are not touring, I don't know exactly how that works, but it could be it's a...

    October 9, 2009 - U2 Concert - Raymond James Center Tampa - FL

I think Bono's reference to "looking for the face he had..." has to do with a statement he made a few years back about how different he looked when he was first in U2 (up through the 80's I believe) He said there was something about his eyes. So my interpretation of his current quote is that...

Are there things U2 won't sign?

One time I was around Bono and he signed some drawings that a guy had done and then said, "he's probably going to say I drew them." So perhaps he was afraid you were going to say he had done the drawing? Also, I've heard him say (in an interview or something) that they don't sign guitars.

    Bandmembers in Eze sur mer

Alive@33 I think you are going over the edge in your interpretation of the op's words. Many people on here have pictures of the band member's houses, octopus just happened to make the mistake of admitting things she had noticed things that others might have noticed but would only talk to each...

    Bandmembers in Eze sur mer

I think octopusmc is saying they had dinner in the same restaurant (most meals take 2 hours) not that they were sitting there after their meal staring at Bono for an extra 1.5 hours.

    Has anyone got backstage?

I've met the band backstage. But that was years ago. They now have it divided (well I don't know about this tour) into different levels of Backstage pass. The celebrities have their own level and those of us who are mere mortals have a different room and usually don't see the band (although...

Why so few new sightings this tour?

I can't see them staying in New York for the LA, AZ and LV shows. I would imagine that they would stay in LA and fly to the venues from there however.

30 years after McGonigals, U2 finally happened to me

Great article. I like that he was able to say he didn't like the politics without slamming Bono for it.

    U2 Vancouver Zoo Tv 1992

Finance Guy, You can look it up, it was one of the two NY shows during Joshua Tree in 87. I have a bootleg somewhere I can try and listen to it again. If my memory holds (and it may not) he said "F the IRA" which is why the girl I was with gasped. She was one of those pro IRA Americans.

    U2 Vancouver Zoo Tv 1992

Finance Guy, Bono did tell the IRA off at the New York concert in the late 80's. But it was related an attack at a funeral. I remember it clearly because there was a girl that was pro IRA and gasped when he said it.

    Smart "Girls" Marry Money?

The one woman I know who married for "safety" (which is what marrying for money means to me) is now miserable. But she can't leave her husband because while there is enough money while they are together she won't have enough if she leaves him. Plus, most of the people who marry for money (or...

Article about U2- "U2 have lost their edge and should quietly fade away"

I'm not new I just don't post often, but I have to say that I thought Miss Milly was totally justified in posting it. I hadn't seen the article and although I agree it's poorly written it's fun to read. Last Unicorn's response seemed a bit harsh considering Miss Milly's apologizing and...

    What's your favorite U2 Tour?

Joshua Tree where you could hear a completely different set each night. It was just them and the stage and they lit it up. Then ZooTv for its awesome production values. Having seen every tour since Joshua Tree those would be my choices.
