(11-24-2005) Don't Have to Be Shy About It -- U2.com*

I gotta say, I don't really like the song, but man, that is a stunning video, it actually makes the song too. Bono is superb in it, hats off to them, that was something very special indeed.

Rick Rubin During "The Wanderer" Performance

I think Rick is going to produce the next u2 record. They asked him to do HTDAAB, but he had to turn it down due to recording a record else where. I hope so, that'd be pretty cool.

MERGED-->Original of the species radio single in US-new strings+OOTS (single version)

'Cause no one's playing it, down to the fact it's a poor song!

MERGED-->Original of the species radio single in US-new strings+OOTS (single version)

I agree that a song like LAPOE would have been a better choice, but to me it's not so much how many more copies they can sell of the album now, I just feel the album has run it's course over the course of this year. I feel the album has went quite stale pretty quickly, I don't feel the songs...

MERGED-->Original of the species radio single in US-new strings+OOTS (single version)

I hope not, the album is already a year old, it's had 4 singles off of it. They'd be flogging a dead horse if they stretched it out for another single. No more please, the album and the singles have been a success, time to just finish off the tour next March and then think about the next phase...

rolling stones and pearl jam at pnc park

I hate that stage set up, it's the worst Stone stage for many a year, I read someone saying it looked like a multi-storey car park, that's exactly what it looks like! u2 make far better stage designs IMHO, but hey that's just me.

who's better live....U2 or Pearl Jam??

As it's been said before, they're two totally different shows, with very different styles of music, I find it hard to compare. As for the setlist angle, I dig that PJ vary it up so much, but we live in age with the internet that we can spoil up coming shows by looking at setlists, it's not just...

(09-27-2005) Bono and Izzard Take on Beatles Film - contactmusic*

Don't do it Bono! rock stars that become actors is a recipe for disastar.

This True? The Return of Walk On?

Man, that's really cool they pulled The First Time out of the bag, I love that song, always have, wish I'd seen it.

Has U2 ever written really dodgy lyrics?

    Elevation is pretty ropey.

This True? The Return of Walk On?

Was it just a snipit of The First Time or the full song? my o' my, they're starting to pull out some great songs.

Bono did come out with Pearl Jam tonight

Man, that was pretty special sounding, Bono is on fine form there and holds his vocals well against EV. Seemed a really special night as well, I would loved to have heard Daughter with the u2 add on's.

Love and Peace - New NA Single?

Love the song and the performance, but it won't be released, u2 are into the last furlong with releasing singles off this album. It's time to move on as well. 5 singles would be a single too much.

Freestylin' Friday - POP Goes the VERTIGO

Pop Edge was THE best dressed Edge, the coolest as well.

    ~~Love and Peace Video~~

To be fair, the contradiction can apply to U2 (well, more to the B-man), Bono's out there saving the world, but earns millions making music, but walks the starving streets of Africa to help out where he's able but has a healthy bank balance of his own that could probably feed a small township...

Bono says that "Streets invented techno"

Was Adam not talking about how the band came across the timing of the song actually has a basis in techno when they were rehearsing for the PopMart tour. I don't think he ever claimed that u2 created techno!

(09-02-2005) UK Premiere: 'All Because of You' -- U2.com*

I know they usually release 4 singles per album, I just feel this time round there's next to no momentium running the album. I feel they'd be better just leaving it at 3 singles this time around. The tour is sold out, and I'm sure if they choose to tour South America and Australia that'll sell...
