Have U2's 21st century releases done irreparable damage to their legacy?

Im glad to see that Im not the only one who likes this performance, Im even going onw step further with the oponion that it is one of their more underrated performance of the song. To me it best version of the track and it sounds a bit messy but in a good way, I like the way Bono performence on...

Songs of _________________; New album discussion #7

That atmosphereric keyboard sound is spot on for the song, let Jack Lee Knife produce Songs Of Ancient. U2 need to be more atmosphereric again, Jack Lee Knife and Eno togheter would be a great team.

Live Moments In U2's History That Still Bring A Lump In Your Throat

My favorite for the moment is WTSHNN from 2015-07-02 - Chicago. Despite the lyrical miss from Bono in the beginning of the song they havent nailed it with the song like this since 1989. The band is really on the song and Bono seems to remember how to sing it like in 1989, why didnt he do this...

Get Out of Your Own Way

BD is to me a mainstream pop back-scratcher song, when it came it sounded too much un-U2. It was too much pop for being them, too easy. If you compared to what they had release in the 80s and 90s. I agree with you that it did work live, but only well on the Elevation and Vertigo tour. On the...

Get Out of Your Own Way

This song is so underrated, to me it is one of their better pop songs lately. The second chours is the higlight and in the verses I really like the synth sound in the background. To me the song is better than BD(which is to me one of U2 most overrated songs).

I can really recommend to listen to the album with a bit more expensive surface headphones, there are alot of details in the songs that you dont hear withcommon speakers/headphones. And the already great atmosphere in the songs gets better, a lot more emotional also.
