    Saddam - executed !!

Exactly. Besides, I cannot see how the execution of Saddam can help improve the whole mess with Iraq. Enlighten me. I can easily see though how it can complicate things... The guy has ALREADY become a martyr for many...

    Saddam - executed !!

Now when the main threat (after the nefer found WMD but who cares?) to the US security has been removed, we can all make a sigh of relief and feel confident that something like 9/11 will never happen again :) What a nice NY present for the whole free world!

    Der Untergang

One of the best (still not perfect :sexywink: ) concise descriptions of what happened in the USSR at the time I've ever heard from a foreigner.

    Fighting terrorism: a double standard?

I regret to say that obviously there is a double standard in terms of how US and especially Europe have been dealing with the issue of terrorism. A living proof to that is Mr. Zakaev, the terrorist who assasinated and tortured a lot of Russian soldiers during the so-called "first Chechen war"...

I see Dr.Teeth has a real grudge against Putin:) Something personal? Or it is grudge against all Russians?

    Putin rejects 'child-killer talks'

Do you think this will be a final definitive solution? Would u guarantee 100% that such terrorist attacks will never happen again? If you guarantee that, I will agree at once.

    The Toll Grows Higher

I wonder if any of the top officials is going to be held accountable for that. I don't know who it should be: the President, the Defense Secretary, the generals on the ground... Dozens of people are killed in Iraq on a daily basis and nobody is responsible for that? Somebody has brought GIs...

The Toll Grows Higher and Higher -6,100 to 7,800 have been killed.

I think US will have to rethink its "new doctrine of pre-emptive strikes" and will do so pretty soon. But I guess some new people will come to the White House, first. The events in Iraq show that even the strongest, most powerful state cannot do certain things defying the opinion of the world...

Worlds reaction at Mr. Bushs speechAudience Unmoved During Bush's Address at the U.N.

I did like his speech. It was a pleasant surprise, I'd say. I thought there would be usual arrogance and much more "if you disagree, you are our enemy"-like stuff. But unexpectedly, it turned out to be reconciliatory almost. I guess, Mr.President starts realizing that if he proceeds the same way...

US Again Says NO Expanding UN Role in Iraq

The SAD thing is that you missed other bad guys who DID ATTACK YOU!, who DO have guns and who (I guess) are preparing their guns to use them once again...

US Again Says NO Expanding UN Role in Iraq

I do like the Kid/cake analogy  I suggest another analogy (stretched a bit though): You come across a guy and tell him: - U, bastard, I know you bought a gun some ten years ago. I know that you used the gun against another guy ten years ago. Give me the gun now or you will face serious...

    North Korea vs. Iraq

Still fail to understand why US attacked Iraq. Especially if you compare the prewar Iraq and North Korea. Hussein's Iraq was not a "paradise" but look at North Korea. It's much worse in all senses: The most cruel dictatorship on the planet (IMHO). Millions of people on verge of starvation...

    Bombing in Baghdad

There's one unanswered and very important question rising: WHO did this? Do you think it's Iraqi resistance or people loyal to SH? I doubt so. Given that UN, not coalition forces, was targeted, I think that now we are dealing with terrorists (Al-Qaeda?) rather than frustrated Iraqi ppl...
