Never saw an i+E show, because they never came close to my city.
Saw them on JT30 twice, Kansas City was by far one of the best shows they seemed a lot more relaxed.
Could have saw an E+i show but had to work, friend of mine went and said it was good, but just lacks the pizzazz.
I think...
There's a good chance they'll put out some sort of promo song or promo single for a film or a charity as they've done so in the past.
However, actual album may not happen until at least 2022. The last few tours should be an indicator of how they popular are... SOI was a dud, JT brought them...
Not sure if I understand the logic of still playing NYD, Follow, Pride but completely abandoning the JT material... those songs are older than JT but also playing Elevation, One, Beautiful Day... the newerish stuff, how that still sticks around.
Most likely they're just playing it safe in case Bono throws his voice out again, or the possibility they're actually tired from touring and are just going through the motions at this point.
While I initially have no complaints with the setlist itself, it seems rather odd to be playing a continuation of Innocence songs on the Experience tour even they go hand in hand. That being said, any kind of 'swap outs' or additional songs aren't too rare because they won't straight up play a...
Looking at the setlist, here's what could be fixed with some slight adjustments -- realistically speaking.
Love Is All We Have Left
The Blackout
Lights Of Home
Beautiful Day
Last Night On Earth
I Will Follow
The Ocean
Iris (Hold Me Close)
Cedarwood Road
Red Flag Day
Sunday Bloody Sunday...
I don't think another US tour would sell all that well. They barely sold out the US dates on the JT30... so they're getting by with what they can for now.
However, if they DID do a 2019 leg, it would probably be supporting Songs of Ascent which may be them on their way out.
I think it's a matter of time until the band calls it quits. They've always said it's better to go out on a high than it is to fade out.
Looking at the ticket sales of this tour, they appear to be an indication that they're slowing down... of all the members I worry about the most, it's Bono...
Wonder though what his health scare was...
This particular photo posted a while ago he's looking a bit too skinny from his usual self.

I know the tour doesn't begin until May of 2018 however, I can't help but wonder what may be in the setlist for E+i...
This is merely a combination of what I'd like to see / what might have been played in the latest press.
1. The Blackout
2. I Will Follow
3. Cry / Electric Co.
4. Vertigo
5...
Seeing as they've played two already played songs from the JT's b-sides, any bets on other songs being played live perhaps?
I reckon Silver & Gold will make a return, it's very politically fitting. Perhaps Luminous Times or Walk to the Water? I recall one of those being sound checked in the 360...
I've been noticing the setlist and can't help but see that the intro song, as well as the encores tend to be all over the place, I was thinking the other day of songs that they could play in a certain sequence that would build up to the Joshua Tree better, like a 'blast from the past' catalog...
Amazing they busted out I Will Follow last night, almost as if they felt bored with closing with Little Things...
Night 2 sounded terrific, MUCH better than Vancouver! Hoping Follow will stay in the setlist somewhere.
