    Pressed Live Bootlegs

As I said in the first post, they are pressed discs. Which means they are manufactured like any other professional CD. I wouldn't be offering CDRs. BTW for those interested Zooropa Down Under and The Complete Boston Tapes have already sold. If people are interested in the others please PM...

    Simple Minds and U2....

You're not going to find any argument from me. Hunter And The Hunted is one of the best songs of that time period.

    Simple Minds and U2....

I wont disagree about those songs being good, along with "Banging On The Door". However the 1-2-3 punch of Up On The Catwalk, Book of Brilliant Things, and Speed Your Love To me blows away those three songs on "Real Life"

    Simple Minds and U2....

I personally recommend BOTH the SACD and the DVD-A. The DVD being a complete remix. Some of the songs are longer, different vocal takes were used etc. So its technically not the original album. I view it more as a modern take on the album. The SACD is THE version to have as far as owning a...

    Simple Minds and U2....

With all due respect, you're joking right? Real Life is an okay album. However its nowhere near the quality of the previous albums when Michael MacNeil was with the group.

    Simple Minds and U2....

Most DVD Players will play DVD-Audio. I'd recommend looking at your players manual. Chances are it will play. Several DVD Players also play Super Audio CDs. However the SACD for New Gold Dream is a hybrid. So in addition to the DSD 24-bit High Resolution layer, it has a standard PCM layer that...

    Simple Minds and U2....

Unfortunately I dont know. It'll probably reopen in late summer by the time the new album nears release. If you need a Simple Minds fix, go purchas the new DVD-Audio of New Gold Dream. it features the album remixed in 5.1, with a previously unreleased bonus track In Every Heaven, as well as...

    Simple Minds and U2....

Well he is an egomaniac. Like almost every other rockstar. His problem is that he isnt selling out Milton Keynes, or Wembley Stadium anymore, so it kind of is funny when he acts like he is still one of the worlds biggest rockstars (which for a period he was)

    Simple Minds and U2....

Out of curiosity, why do you think that?

    Simple Minds and U2....

One of the problems with how SM music has aged, is alot of it was politically motivated. However unlike U2, it was much more centered around contemporary events. For example obviously a song like Pride was about Dr King. Which gives it a much more timeless feeling as it wasnt explicitly about...

    Simple Minds and U2....

Bono probably thought the same thing as any other common sense individual. That Jim had the right to his opinion, and that the press completely blew it out of proportion.

    Simple Minds and U2....

I have heard nothing but pleasant things about each of the band members. In fact Michael MacNeil frequently responds to emails, and participates on the messageboard at his official site.

    Bono Singing To Track?

When I saw one of the Seattle shows I was a little curious as when the vocals were running, and Edge and Bono didn't have any mic's near them. But then I saw up on one of the screens that Larry had a headset and was doing vocals also. That having been said I highly doubt there are any backing...

    Simple Minds and U2....

Actually the performance from that night is on The Simple Minds boxset. They've appeared together over the years. At the 83 Torhout Festival (Which both bands played) Jim came onstage during Gloria and he and Bono sang a few verses from "Someone Somewhere In Summertime". Now as far as the...

I'd recommend you watch the Popmart video again. Several of those songs are on there.

    New Live Album?

Well I've been ripping DVD's to audio CDs for a few years now. The whole purpose of my suggestion though, is for an official live release that would feature songs that wont be on the Chicago DVD. Though I am all in support of an additional DVD. Maybe a two disc Definitive Vertigo Tour boxset. An...

    New Live Album?

Well it seems pretty clear that U2 plans to release a DVD from the Chicago shows. So does anyone else hope that maybe they'll release a 2CD Set from one of the European dates to complement the DVD. Morrissey recently did this with his two live releases. Relasing an Earls Court DVD, and then a...

why are the setlists so short?

The only thing I despise more than whiners, are people who whine about whiners. If you don't like it, don't read it. Is that too difficult? My problem with some people who complain, is that they still go. I think the setlist is rather boring, and the short length of the concert is inexcusable...

why are the setlists so short?

The Street Fighting Years Tour by Simple Minds. They played on average 3 hours ever night, and their songs are just as difficult to sing, as well as being instrumentally lightyears beyond anything U2 plays. Rush is another band whose catalog is infinitely more difficult. They used to play 2...

why are the setlists so short?

There are quite a few artists out there with extremely difficult songs to sing, yet manage to stay out onstage for more than 115 minutes.

    Every Concert On Itunes?

Actually I do have a high end vinyl system. So when you are ready to pull your head out from between your ass cheeks, I would be happy to have this conversation with you.

    Every Concert On Itunes?

Since you put it so eloquently, the compression in an MP3 is far worse than a standard compact disc you dumbass. Though there is a depency on how competent the mastering engineer is. Nevertheless the bitrate on iTunes is utterly ridiculous, hence why I never buy anything off of iTunes...
