No intro Where The Streets Have No Name

I was actually saying I didn't know where the link was and was asking if someone could tell me.

No intro Where The Streets Have No Name

Finally found it due to another question about Larry's drum sound: U2 - September 17, 1987. Boston, MA, Boston Gardens The night after was a bit of a ropey intro to Streets:

Larry's best recorded live drum sound

What do you think? Obviously the mix on some recordings has a lot to answer for. Just search the videos for The Fly from ZOO TV tours - different TV recordings appear to emphasise the drum sound or the guitar sound which is a shame because I loved that Brady snare sound when it was right. No intro Where The Streets Have No Name

I was trailing through youtube U2 concerts a while ago and, I'm pretty sure of this being a US leg of the original Joshua Tree tour, that they played WTSHNN without the guitar picking intro. It just appears to start up mid-set. Does anyone know which concert this is?

    Larry's 80's kit setup

Yes I know this. ASOH clearly shows the timbale being played. I dont think I was clear enough on my last line there in previous post. I played the snares off for first half of Streets. Then I should've said the correct use of the timbale is for A Sort Of Homecoming.

Larry's snare SOI - Sunday Bloody Sunday

https://www.facebook.com/drumfantasycamp/posts/871332379599237 Don't know whether you can see this but very interesting about what had to be done for Larry to have a comfortable set up to play for SBS. I was quite surprised it was jerry rigged rather than a specific bit of equipment.

    Larry's 80's kit setup

Love this thread although it's old! If you look at this version of Streets at Syracuse it's a Ludwig piccolo snare from 70s era (pointy badge). https://youtu.be/9QBmSkuCMak?t=3m50s There's a good few seconds here of him whacking it so hard it's bouncing out of it's cradle as well as another...
