What was the best European show of 2005?

BARCELONA!!!!!! I've seen 7 gigs on this tour in Europe and the US and this one trounced all over the rest. Amazing crowd, amazing set and awesome performances from all 4 of our boys. No contest.

    Australia ticket on sale date...

Does anyone have a presale code they're not going to use - I'm flying from England for 2 weeks for the gig and to see an old mate - I'm terrified I won't get tickets and have used my presale colde already for the US. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is a genuine genuine plea! I'll...

    Best show so far?

I'll agree that I was a bit disappointed by the end of 40 although where I was everyone was still singing until the lights were well and truly up - it will never be as good as the old days as there are new fans who don't know the form. I thought it was terrific and from a personal point of view...

    Best show so far?

Have to disagree on that one - like any gig I guess it's where you're standing/sitting that makes a difference on this one. The crowd was going nuts everywhere I could see on 10th. Best atmosphere I've seen all tour.

    Best show so far?

I've been to quite a varied selection and tried to pick them for reasons that might result in excellent shows. I've not been disappointed once. My shows were Boston - May 26th Boston - May 28th Twickenham - June 19th Dublin - June 24th (1st night) Barcelona - Aug 7th MSG / NYC - Oct 10th I...

    (10-11-2005) 'Bad' in NYC - U2.com*

I'm glad I'm not alone in saying this is one of the best U2 shows I've ever seen. This was my 56th in 22yrs and it was so good I cried!! A personal ambition to see the band in NYC came good and it really was something special. There was a vibe in the crowd and the band were flying off it - it...

whats this about edge and a barcelona shirt??

Hiya 1stOne - we had an amzing time thanks! Everything went wrong on the phone front though, my battery ran out so I couldn't ring or text anyone after Friday. Had all sorts of trouble meeting people but managed in the end with some. What an amazing gig eh! The whole holiday was fab, I've...

whats this about edge and a barcelona shirt??

If they were going to film one for DVD they should have filmed this one. I've never heard noise like it from a crowd. Amazing gig to be at.

Aug. 7, Camp Nou in Barcelona

If you know where you're meeting Saturday that would be good to know. If I see someone in an Interference shirt strolling round the streets of Barca I'll say hi. I simply can't be ar&*sed to do any work today - far too excited! I think this has the potential to be an excellent stadium gig...

1stOne & gaspanic - are you going to the Event Travel party? Even though it's a total rip off it does actually look promising, especially the fact it's open till 5am!!! Flying on Thursday, staying at the end of Las Ramblas. I'll be the one in the U2 Tshirt.........

I'm from London and am travelling with a Canadian from Vancouver! If that isn't a good excuse for a beer I don't know what is. I know I'm going to the Event Travel (*idiots couldn't organise a pi*ss up in a brewery*) party to collect my overpriced gig ticket and that's at Pacha which is near...

    Live 8

Couldn't agree more! It'll be a once in a lifetime experience - for the bands as well as for the crowd - oh and the 5 billion people watching it on telly!!! Whoever gives up their time to perform at it can sing what they want and wear a furry banana suit for all I care - it's to raise...

    Live 8

I heard that - and then U2 do there own 15 minute set. Everyone gets 15 minutes, some will do duets etc, the Pink Floyd on at the end then Paul Mc back on again for Long & Winding Road - then the Do they know it's christmas singalong. They've got the revolving stage again which should keep it...

MERGED--> Twickenham Concert Broadcast + Don't worry about missing the broadcast

If it's the same as Wembley used to be they will have to stop at 10:30. This allows for everyone to get home on the trains etc and stops the noise as it's in a largely residential area. I would imagine they will start broadcasting a little way into the gig. I'm not going till tomorrow and...

I thought Europe's crowds were going to be so much crazier then N.A. but

Totally depends whichh country you're in and which venue. I've seen U2 all over Europe over the last 20 years and there are countries that are much better to see them in than others. Ireland obviously is always a corker. London can be good but can also be full of tw*ats so it's depends on the...

    LIVE 8 - anyone won a ticket?

It's totally unacceptable and against the spirit of the event. I'd tell them to give the £2000 to people in Africa and watch it on telly if you didn't get a ticket. People that buy or sell them are selfish and have no grasp of what the event stands for. I'd love to go but if I don't win I'll...
