Man time goes by so fast! 20 years ago seems like yesterday. Going to the record store at midnight to hear pickup this wonderful album by U2 called POP. Hearing Discotheque and Mofo on the radio the 1st time was awesome!! I still hold on to that feeling and hopeU2 ventures down that road...

    Taking child to U2 show

Hi everyone, My son who turns 4 in December loves the new U2 album. Really loves 'Raised By Wolves'. I joke around with my wife of taking him next tour and even showed him videos of the promo tour. And he is so into them. Kind of funny since i'm a diehard fan. He even says he wants to...

2013 Rolling Stones vs. U2 (Today)

I really didn't know where to post this. Nothing was on 'Just A Bang' and nothing was on here. The Rolling Stones today announced their 'big' 2013 Tour. I was really considering going to Las Vegas to see them. Thinking I'll have to spend $100-$200 for a decedent ticket. This was gonna be...

Hi everyone, Just wanted to know if there are any Deer Tick fans on interference? I've been a fan for nearly 3-4 years or since I first heard their debut album 'War Elephant'. If you've haven't them I find them worth checking out. A good mix of rock, folk, country, blues, & punk. Deer...

"UltraViolet" has a new meaning for me...

I just wanted to share this with Interference. I've been roaming these boards since before ATYCLB and just wanted to share my wonderful news. U2 and these boards have been a big part of my life, with U2 music shaping me into who I am and these boards letting me express my views on years of...

    U2 "POP" : "U2 By U2"

I just finished reading the section about the POP era from “U2 by U2” and I never realized how unhappy & inconclusive they were on POP. Seems like each member (including Paul) had a different excuse on why the album came off so poorly produced/received. I’m a little disappointed the band...

Watched "ZOO TV" Sydney DVD last night...

And damn what a show. I haven't seen in it nearly 10 years maybe. A few buddies stopped by for a few beers and they are late bloomers to U2, so I popped it in. Its just a perfect show. -Crowd fired up from the beginning w/ intro, Zoo Station, Fly, Real Thing, MW -Beautiful version of...

"Overall" Were You Pleased With The 360 Tour (Leg 1 & 2)..

I saw 3 shows in about a 1 month span and was completely satisfied. There were a few nit-picks with the show but overall U2 gave a great show/production in the stadium setting. Major highlights: -New songs sounded amazing -U2 dropped major warhorses (Pride, Bullet, IWF, NYD) and moved on to...

    Seats facing the stage

I have seats this Friday in Las Vegas in section 118 row 11. Facing directly towards the stage. Does the mixing-desk/sound-tents block any view of the stage? I wouldn't think they would but just wanted to make sure. Thanks.

    U2 Concert : Rock N Roll Concert

I was reading some the fan reviews of the DC show last night and someone posted about how a lady brought 4 kids under 10 years old to show. In which they were holding their ears throughout. Do some of these casual fans forget U2 is a rock n roll band? Especially live? I was standing GA...

    I heard Magnificent last night....

At a "Coldplay" concert. Not trying to pick a fight here, just letting everyone know they played it loud right before the band took stage (sort of like Wake Up). Show was in San Antonio so only a few people were dancing. When it came on me & my wife were getting excited for the 360 tour...

    Pride...

Hearing Bono & the band talk about how "Pride" met so much to them to play it on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial where MLK gave his "I have a dream" speech made me think. U2 should never play this song again. If a song ever came full circle wouldn't it be "Pride"? Even though this song...

    Slow Dancing w/ Willie Nelson

I saw Willie Nelson for the 1st time last night in concert. Really a great show. Never realized till last night how great of a guitar player Willie is, especially at age 75. Anyway, got me thinking today of the Slow Dancing B-side featuring Willie. Really enjoy this song. Such another...

With Boy, October, & War being re-released..

and the Edge overseeing the remastering process do you think we'll see some rare gems on the next tour. Edge is the one who has final say-so in the setlist?? Listening to October, by the way the vinyl pressing sound so sweet, I could really see them playing Gloria, I Fall Down, or even...

    U2 Song -March Madness Bracket

I've seen the "Survivor Threads" for U2 songs. But has anyone done a 64 U2 song tourney? Each album is a conference: Boy Conference JT Conference 80'B-Side Conference 90's B-Side Conference etc. Anyone want to help set one up?

    U2 Vinyl

Anybody collect vinyl? I’m just starting my collection and have 2 U2 LP’s. The “Joshua Tree” 180 gram that was just released and POP on vinyl (purchased back in 1997). I’m building an additional room in my house that will have a small bar and LP player. Just hooked up everything last...

    "Different" U2 Opener

Listening to EBTTRT, I was thinking how it could be a cool opener. Lights go out, crowd cheering, then you hear Edge's pedal... Besides what U2 have used as openers (Mofo, COBL, Streets,Zoo Station), what song do you think would make a great opener?

    U2: Popmart Movie

With the buzz about the U2:3D and talk of Rattle N Hum what if U2 made a documentary on the Popmart tour. I think it would have been awesome to see how U2 traveled the world with the biggest live production ever. Starting off in Vegas and ending in Africa. They could have shown 14-16 tracks...

    U2 Karaoke

I know this questioned has been asked a few times, but with Karaoke growing ever so popular what are some U2 songs you've sung, seen sung, or want to sing? I saw a guy sing "One" a few weeks ago and it was pretty bad. He didn't have a speech in front of it so that helped.

    "Vertigo" this past tour...

should have closed out everynight. Instead of playing in early in the set and sometimes playing it twice, U2 should have ended every show with it. Think of it: -U2 plays 40, Bad, or Yahweh, with the crowd going crazy and knowing they still haven’t played “Vertigo” yet. -Lights still off...

    Anthem of the Vertigo Tour

With the Vertigo tour coming to a close soon  , what one song defines the Vertigo tour? Like when I think of ZooTV, I think of “The Fly” or when I think of Popmart I think of “Please”. For me it will have to be “City Of Blinding Lights.” Song is just so magical live with the lights...

    Joshua Tree A-Side

Anyone else think U2 needs to give these tunes a rest or just rotate them a bit more. I can live w/ Streets, its the defining U2 live track. BUT, Bullet needs a serious nap and ISHFWILF/WOWO always find their way back in the setlist.

    Vertigo Tour, Arena vs. Stadium

I’m going to see U2 in Monterey in about 1 week and wanted to get everyone’s take on the Vertigo Stadium Show. -What is better, the Arena Vertigo Show or the Stadium Vertigo Show? -Which is louder? ETC... I love stadium rock concerts. There a dying breed and can’t believe I’ll see U2 one...

    U2 Karaoke

Ok, what U2 songs has everyone or anyone sang before doing Karaoke. I'm a fool for singing Karaoke and enjoy doing a Bono imitation. Craziest U2 moment was when I sang Elevation (had about 6-8 pints in me) and walked friggin tables at a bar. Let alone doing that sober, but I walked tables...
