U2 to Perform First Concerts at MSG Sphere in Las Vegas

Will they play the album in order like they did on Joshua Tree Tour? My guess is no and that technology will be a lot more in focus for this tour.

Songs of Experience - Let The Chart Speculation Begin

Good to see U2 is doing well - sad to see how little it takes though.

    U2 orchestrated

I know its very ironic :)

    Bono Interview in Rolling Stone

One thing to remember is that U2 was born out of punk music which is obviously music generally constructed from some sense of rage. However I can tell you that when I was in junior high/high school in the ZooTV days U2 were perceived as "girly" or "gay" from people generally - Mr Macphisto or...

    U2 orchestrated

They already answered that question as part of the special - Bono specifically says it would feel self indulgent. But I agree with you - they should do more with it. The first time I really remember them using one is All I Want Is You and though they should do it more.

Songs of Experience - Let The Chart Speculation Begin

I'm 40 myself but I have been a U2 fan since Joshua Tree. The last tour I was physically at was 360 and the fanbase perception wise for me seemed a lot older then the previous tours I had attended. The cool thing about U2 up until this time they have been able to maintain a wide range of ages...

    Vulture ranks 218 U2 songs

Question is did they miss any songs completely - I haven't counted but I thought U2 as a band have put out at least 250 songs including b-sides and more then that if you include solo work like "In the Name Of The Father" or "Billy Boola"

Merry Christmas, what u2 gifts did you get??

I bet youde probably have a hard time finding one now - somehow I don't think it could hold up sales wise to the "beebs".

Songs of Experience 37 - now with bonus orchestra

Did you happen to count how many songs they played? Maybe we will see more in the future....I hope they put this out as an official release - I enjoyed it a lot from the Canadian version I saw.

It certainly has stood the test of time and thankfully, still has some real activity :)

    Bono Interview in Rolling Stone

An argument could be made either way - "angry" rock music on the radio, and pop charts is dead at the moment, that probably has more to do with the record labels then anything else. There is certainly a desire for it but it doesn't get played like before. Hip Hop has now surpassed rock as...

    Bono Interview in Rolling Stone

Correct :) Also just out of curiosity what would people replace the word "girly" with?

    Bono Interview in Rolling Stone

I think people here are over reacting to the comment - I have heard many UK/Irish/Scottish males use the term "girly" in the past, whether that would pass as politically correct in today's world is obviously a different story. If that's the most controversial thing he has to say I think hes...

Songs of Experience - Let The Chart Speculation Begin

Cher was 51/52 when Believe first came out which is still quite a bit younger then U2 at this point however the point is still valid :) U2's hardcore fanbase is thinning out, plus the proliferation of digital music hasnt helped them. I would say U2 have approximately 2 million hardcore fans in...

The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 Boxscore Discussion

Really? An arena honestly isn't that much different then a stadium - they are large concrete structures that were not built for music. U2 are the band that can make them work however the prices they are charging for seating where they won't be easy to see and the sound will be questionable at...
