    80s music

I've been having an 80s revival too and it definitely included Erasure. Thanks for sharing all this stuff, it will help me continue the revival. I know this may be completely geeky, but I don't think I've seen this on the list and its one of my 80s faves: Slave to Love - Brian Ferry.

    Who is this mysterious woman?

    (11-13-2006) Party Girl in Sydney - U2.com*

Still hanging on to the Beatles theme (in the snippets that is). Nice. :) May be Party Girl went out to Kylie (with all those snippets too). I wish Bono's commentary would come out with these set lists.

(11-12-2006) U2 could have been sexier, but energy's still there - SMH*

First off, I love October so I'm not sure why it's being mentioned in such a derogatory way. And second, yeh I would have enjoyed seeing more of the Zoo TV aspect but only because I didn't get to see it the first time around, but to be honest I don't want them to do the "same" show again...I...

I suppose it's a balance between intimacy and huge show. I can't really comment on what's better because the two shows I have seen have both been stadium size. I'd love the opportunity to see an arena one (missed out due to total sell out in the Elevation frenzy).

    The Devlins?

A cover I still haven't heard. :( It's available through iTunes Europe and I have no idea how I could access that. If anyone knows, please share the secrets. I have access to a version with Sharon Corr and the Devlins but I'm not ready to give in to it yet.

    The Devlins?

I am COMPLETELY a fan. I recommend any of their albums. Waiting is my favourite, but if you want to cover all the seasons - I would say start with the spring (Drift) then move onto summer with Waves, autumn will be Waiting and in the winter delve into Consent. Just to give yourself enough...

I am reading "walk On, the spiritual journey of U2"

I saw this book at the bookstore the other day. Not quite sure if I want to get it (yet) though. It's certainly interesting. I skimmed through most of the Reinvention section. Couldn't help myself.

From what I can recall on the Chicago DVD there was a screen, but I don't recall seeing as much colour. Was it really that different?

It sure was. I still feel like I'm reliving it (it helps to find some audio online).

That's fantastic. Thank you for bringing back the Fly. I missed him. ;) I read your story in the other post. Well done!

Ummm...are the AFRICA talk flags the ones with Africa in red on a green background? Sorry, I'm not up to speed with these things. I suppose you'd have to ask U2 or the lighting team to answer your question though. :)

Five Songs U2 Should Bust Out for Leg Five of Vertigo*

Definitely agree with Ultraviolet (I am trying to track down a version of Zooropa with that currently). POP is sadly missing and I still have not heard Stay live *sigh*.

We were incredibly lucky to be really close and therefore I want to share these pictures with you. It was a fantastic show, I'd say more words but there are no words enough for me to tell you how out of this world awesome the show was. Perhaps some day I'll be able to say it all...
