I'm back...yikes. It's been four years since I last logged in here, and I did it today because I can't get this U2 album out of my mind. It's quite honestly their best album since All That You Can't Leave Behind, and one of their best albums overall. I just love it to death. There are elements...

I think amok is a very good effort. Like it's been said, it's more of a Thom solo album than anything...but it is still very good.

What is troubling is the child abuse allegations. Not the fact the Pope resigned. The only reason he did resign is because of the abuse allegations...not because of any other reason. That's pretty sad, that the Catholic church was hiding pedophiles and protecting them.

I think the new Bowie album is fantastic! Out of the 25 studio album he's given us, it's easily in the top ten. I can't pick a weak song from the album, and if the other 9 studio albums didn't exist, you could argue that it's his best. It's certainly the best album of the year.

I don't think it's ever right to hit a child, under any circumstances.

Hey, can I sue my former teachers for bad classes? I didn't enjoy my history classes in high school very much. But seriously, this is unbelievable! It's ridiculous that this is actually considered appropriate. :doh:

Thanks! I looked at all the stuff included. I don't really need all that, although it would be nice to have it! I am out of a job right now, so can't preorder right now. I may have to wait till Christmas for this one.

I got my first Ipod in 2005, but it wasn't a U2 ipod. I did think it was really cool how U2 stood behind technology like that, though!

I've liked everything that Phil has done, both with Genesis and solo. The Motown album was a great one, shame it was the final curtain call. :( Abacab is a great album, was spinning it yesterday. I honestly can't pick a bad Genesis album.

Most of the time, I rank the "weaker albums" higher than the other albums. So if I had four new albums, on par with Zooropa (my favorite U2 album), then that would be just fine. :)
