    Hansa Studios and the Meistersaal

Just back from a trip to Berlin and and took in a visit to Hansa Studios and the Meistersaal. Our tour guide Thilo was excellent. It was really good to finally visit the famous "big hall by the wall". Its a beautiful room with great acoustics. The set up was unconventional in that the control...

Nov 7, 2015 - Glasgow, UK - The SSE Hydro

Ok - getting seriously excited about tomorrow. My first U2 gig was 28 years ago and my last 6 years ago. Can't wait to see them again. I have not followed the tour set lists in great detail between nights. What can we hope for tomorrow - if we got Gloria, Bad and 40 I think I could die happy...

    Earplugs?

I also have tinnitus - I definitely got mine from going to too many loud gigs in my teens and twenties. Its a real bummer. I also play in a band which does not help. I use in-ear monitors with my band but use ACS custom pro 17 plugs when I go to a gig. They are not cheap but they are fantastic...

Only "true" fans are entitled to rail!

The question is, what is a true fan - I bought my first U2 album in 1984 (31 years ago), went to my first first gig in 1987 aged 17 and the band have been the soundtrack to my life for over 30 years. Am I a true fan or am I inferior as I am past it for not being about to stand in line for hours...

Song For Someone - Song Discussion

Have been a U2 fan for over 30 years and have to be honest I thought No line was poor - I feared that the boy's songwriting had run dry. This is a great song & enjoying the album. My faith is restored !

    May 21, 2011 - Invesco Field - Denver, CO

In Denver for a meeting. drove past Invesco Field this morning and the Claw can clearly be seen - it's not lifted up to it's full height yet. Sadly I can't stay till Saturday :-( Fulfilled a lifetime ambition by going to see Red Rocks though - it was amazing.

    Ear plugs?

It's a no brainer, if you don't want to wreck your hearing and go to gigs you should wear earplugs.

    August 14th, Wembley Stadium, London

A great, great gig. Have seen U2 many times and this was a good one. The venue is very good and well organised. Had Ga tickets. Arrived at 4.20pm. Gates were meant to open at 4.30 but band were still sound checking. Finally opened at 4.45. The lines were well policed, everyone got in in the...

GA Discussion / Camera policies, etc

What is it like in the main GA section on this tour? Am going to Wembley on Fri 14 - GA tickets. Have seen them many times before, I had hoped to get red zone tics but ticketmaster screwed up my bid. I don't fancy the scrum in the pit. So what is it like in the main GA section? How out into...

    August 14th at Wembley

No email. TM website says tickets not dispatched. Am away for 2 weeks after Saturday on holiday and will only return a few days before the gig. Am getting nervous. It was sooo much better in the "old days" when I got my tickets for wembley 87 by return of post from the U2 fan club

Elacin ER-20 musician's earplugs - anyone tried them out?

I play a lot with my own band and always wear these for gigs now. They are good and will save you from hearing loss later .
