They need to be U2. This whole thing about other people being able to play their songs is sending them on a disingenuous path. I love Zooropa, The Fly, EBTTRT, Streets, DYFL, Mofo, Unforgettable Fire, ASOH and many other of their songs bc they are distinctly U2 songs! I love their soundscapes...

Opening night of Elevation Tour was just electric from start to finish. When they walked onstage with the lights on, my cheeks almost burst from smiling. When the Fly kicked in we went ballistic. Closing night in Miami was also an incredible evening.

I just saw my North Side gift from the fan club on the shelf. You could see where they were going with that book now. It ties in to the album. Shame it didn't all go as planned.

How are they going to be relevant to people who have the attention span of goldfish and listen to garbage when they can't even keep us (the crazy die-hards) happy? They're losing us. I hate feeling this way but I do.

A really good way to become irrelevant is to spend 5 years chasing relevance. Oh the irony. "You hold on to something so tight, you've already lost it..."

The new mix lacks structure. It's just a bunch of sounds and a rearranging of tracks. And it loses the polished stone line which is my favorite. I like the original. The only thing I want now is a live version with more guitars but I know this is going to wind up acoustic halfway through the...
