    MERGED--> ALL European GA Discussions

Re: 9am rule - how? I just spoke to my bro' about what time to get to Twickenham and he said it's not like Wembley, which was in a massive convention/retail area, but in a residential area, literally surrounded by houses. They usually erect a one-way barricade system but often open those...

Who will support U2 at Twickenham?

Yeah, it's more or less usual practise. The support for U2 gigs often changes on a daily basis in my experience. I suppose because the States is so huge it's beneficial for a smaller band to get the kind of exposure that touring with a bigger act can bring them, and it also works out simpler for...

    Avoiding Vertigo Tour Spoilers

I've always seen more than one show for each tour and in my experience, every show is different. Even changing one or two songs makes the next gig different from the night before, so don't worry about knowing too much before you go because you won't be getting someone else's gig.

    cursed opening acts?

I really liked them too. They had an album out that year that everyone I know seemed to posses and they have a lot of energy on stage. The problem for any opening act is that they're usually playing to a fairly empty stadium in broad daylight. I also saw PJ Harvey and Bjork on the same day...

MERGED --> Discussion of Tickets mailed out + Tickets printed

Ticketmaster UK don't usually release tickets for big events until a couple of weeks before the show, probably to try and prevent the forgers doing their thing too well.

MERGED-->Anyone taking their kids to the concert? + Who's bringing their kids ?

Take your kids. I took my eldest girl to see Pop when she was 12. This time they're both coming, along with my brother, sister and 2 of our cousins. What can I say...the whole family are U2 geeks!

Poll: Was AGE a factor determining who got Gen.Admission tickets?

I'm 37 and managed to get mine by 11 am. The server had a high volume of traffic and couldn't deal with everyone at the same time.

    Tickets on ebay

I got tickets myself but it wasn't a smooth ride and I'm really pissed off at the way I'm paying more than twice what US fans are without adding in the cost of joining U2.com and ticketmaster's fee - almost another £50. There are fans who may lose out altogether as they couldn't afford the $40...

    Tickets on ebay

I appears that the touts had no problems loggin on and getting hold of tickets.

To the Europeans that bought tickets:

I didn't have as much toruble with them as some. I couldn't get onto the email link for an hour as there was just too much traffic. When I did enter my code a message said there was a queue and the page would refresh every 10 seconds - which it did. I had 2 scary moments when it said I'd run...

    Contact BBC Watchdog

I emailed watchog and also directed them to his board to get an idea of just how upset people are. You can't check out reaction on the official U2.COM board as it's undergoing some mysterious routine maintainance!!

Tickets: Your outcome and final view

Daveone you're not alone. I didn't see the last tour as I was away at the time, but I remember the ticket prices (about £40 for Earls' Court) being defended at the time by most of the fans. I've paid the £55 x 4 plus £40 booking fee plus £20-odd for U2.COM subscription. I'm noty a student or...

    Ticket Prices For The UK?

I just bought 4 standing tickets for Twickenham and it cost me £247, plus £20-odd to subscribe to U2.COM. No wonder they didn't list the ticket prices for the european shows or they would have been getting irate emails from people since yesterday. Do you ever feel like you've been manipulated...

Prince Harry Wears Swastika To Party

I'm amazed that his advisors thought it would be ok to go dressed like that. It's not like he walked into a costume shop and picked it out himself or anything. Although I think his choice was a little odd, you have to remember that he's only 20 and it was a private party, so I think it's a...
