That might have been the craziest exchange/rant I have ever witnessed on this forum. It was the forum poster equivalent of watching the Titanic sink and it was disturbing (credit to BVS for not taking the troll bait and jumping ship).

It's Google Adsense....they place ads targeted towards you based on your, um, "preferences" and browsing history.

For example, right now on the top of the page I have an ad for a service that smuggles family members out of Burma (formerly Myanmar).

For a while I was getting an ad with some wanker who claimed he'd design me a logo for $5 (Fiverrr). But now I'm back to porn ads. And ads for an insurance company I already use.
