There are some folks on this board who corresponded privately with him and read his manuscript. Very soon after he started circulating drafts he disappeared abruptly, which suggested to them that he was silenced in a hurry. I suppose a motivated person with the Freedom of Information Act might find out for sure.

Wow that version of EBW nearly made me shed a tear.
So much more emotion from Bono tonight. I loved the performance in Italy but this one nearly got me going for one minute there

The miracle is fun this way i think aswell. The tunes been stuck in my head ever since the italian show, something that hasnt happened the whole time the tunes been out

I'm eagerly awaiting my son's "LegoMania" event tonight at our library. I can leave him with the children's librarian and go find a nice quiet corner and pop in my earbuds while I watch the videos on wifi. Our library has a lovely magazine/newspaper nook with leather-bound chairs and couches that is super comfy...

Just a heads up to anyone wanting to listen to the jo whiley show tomorrow. It starts at 8pm and i think the whole show is about u2 with them picking some of their favourite tracks from other artists on the show aswell. I think its between 8-10. Bbc radio 2. Anyone not from the uk should find it on the bbc website or the tunein radio app(i think)

EBW was much, much better than Italian version.
Is this the first time we've only had Bono and Edge on a U2 promo tour ? They did San Remo in 2000 but that was months ahead of ATYCLB.

I didn't mind that actually.
I believe some here were saying (after the Raitv performance) that it would be better, if the song was played a bit lower, so it would be easier to sing for Bono.
I find it more fitting to the lyrics and the mood of the song that it is a bit of a struggle/fight/stretch (to sing).
It shouldn't be easy.
It doesn't have to be (sung) perfect(ly).
Perfect doesn't necessarily make it better.
Just my opinion.
