Jeez.....we all bash the 2000's or at least want some more 80s and 90s in the live set lists, but it is still very, very hard.

Though we have seen this exact thread before, we need it a lot to remind us just how good U2 are. I sometimes find myself conceding points to people who bash 00's U2, when what I really should be doing is telling them to listen to some of these songs mentioned here that are less known and don't just judge on Vertigo, Elevation and Boots! If the 80s and 90's are out of this world, the 00's, if they can't match up, are still devastatingly brilliant!

I tried to come up with 10 and only 10 and realized I forgot IALW. When I went back up the list, I thought for a while about each song and if I could live with removing it. Nope.

In no particular order:

In A Little While
Magnificent
Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of
No Line On The Horizon
Kite
Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
Cedars Of Lebanon
FEZ-Being Born
Beautiful Day
Miracle Drug

If non-album tracks are allowed, then I would substitute Stateless, The Ground Beneath Her Feet and Electrical Storm for the last three on my list.

Beautiful Day
Walk On
Electrical Storm
Kite
Magnificent
NLOTH
Moment of Surrender
Sometimes
Original of the Species
Ground Beneath Her Feet

1. The Ground Beneath her feet.
2 Stateless (not sure if thisqualifies but I'll include it anyway.)
3. Magnificent
4. Cedars Of Lebanon
5. Electrical Storm
6. Beautiful Day
7. In A Little While
8 City Of Blinding Lights.
9. Fast Cars
10. FEZ-being born.

NLOTH and MOS were unlucky not to quite make it.

MOMENT OF SURRENDER(not only this decade but this one falls into my top ten of all U2)
Kite
In a Little While
No Line on the Horizon
Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your Own
Mercy(original leak)
Ground Beneath Her Feet
Fast Cars
Crazy Tonight
White as Snow

2 Stateless (not sure if this qualifies but I'll include it anyway.)
Of course it qualifies - released in 2000.

I can't make one - hell, I'd have to include the NLOTH album in it's entirety, along with Every Breaking Wave (which hasn't even been released) and the Crazy Tonight (as played live), and that's going back just a couple of years... Wedge in there Stateless (heh), IALW, Elevation (so sue me, I still love it), and definitely jam Man and a Woman somewhere near the top, and you'd just be getting me started. While only one ALBUM in that era was great, there are ALOT of gems in there.

IMO.

It was just because the original poster said your choices had to be from ATYCLB to NLOTH and Stateless is from before ATYCLB. But yeah it would be impossible for me to make a 2000s list without it. I agree with you on A Man and A Woman, a much under rated track.

You can include TGBHF and Stateless. I forgot they were this decade and the "Feet" definately belongs in any top 10 list :D.

Good to see some votes for In a little while and When I look at the world. NLOTH 2 is also a worthy pick. I love it 2. :D

It is pretty interesting to me to see the amount of love for IALW and how many people on the forum think it falls into the category of "10 best of the 2000's."

I've always loved the song and think that it could have been a massive hit if it were released as a single. I'm a teacher and it's one of the few U2 songs that my students(ages 13-18) actually tell me to put on when they're working. My parents (in their late 50's) like the song. My girlfriend who basically only listens to crummy pop and "hates U2" loves IALW. It just seems like a pop song that has universal appeal. The guitar line, the lyrics, the rhythm, the rhaspy vocals just seem to work perfectly together.
