PGP: We're On The Bus and.. uh oh, are we going to THAT Place?!?! LOL

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

By the way, VP, I think that festival with Bono stage diving and Edge's deathglare is 31 July 1982, Gateshead... can't confirm as I don't have it myself.

No, I haven't thought of a damn thing to say to Tré. Probably never will. He's Tré, for fuck's sake.

Thanks girls... I failed utterly to get GA for the first (and at that time, only) Melb show, and then like a complete pillock I let go a set of not-so-good seats in the hopes I could get better... what the hell was I thinking. Ended up with the crappest seats in the house, restricted view behind the side of the stage.

But! Half an hour later they put a second show on sale, and I got GAs for that. Hooray! :D

Lesson learned - If you don't get what you want, take what's offered and don't push your luck.

that happened to me ,1st night sold out but got GA's for 2nd night as they went on sale whist i was on phone. Then i few months later more GA for 1st night were released :D

it's a sign!

No, it's not.

Yes, it is!

Illogical.

I'm obsessing over Tré calling in to the punk rock station's morning show tomorrow. And tonight, I happened to turn on that radio station. At the exact same moment, not even a half-second before, Holiday, my hands-down absolute no-battle favourite Green Day song started playing. I mean, what are the frakin' odds of that?

How about "Hi Tré!" and then pull a face at him and see if he remembers... unless of course we're talking about calling a radio show, in which case the face-pulling may not work so well.

Hrm.

You could ask him the philosophical question/Red Dwarf quote I put to u2.com...

"Given that God is infinite, and that the universe is also infinite... Would you like a toasted tea-cake?"

... I suppose you had to be there.

Ooh, cool... I'm not sure whether I should hope that happens here or not, since it'll mean I'll have to decide whether to get GAs and then have to sell four really crappy tickets.

I suspect I will just sit tight and shake my fist at Murphy.

It's idiotic how much all that ticket stress this morning has rattled me... I should be delighted that I got GAs for the second show, especially considering our team leader gave us tomorrow off work (paid, and not using up leave, w00t), but I've been in a miserable bloody funk all afternoon. I don't even think it's really the ticket thing that's bugging me. Feh.

Fragile self-esteem sucks donkey bollocks.

Life is rarely logical, at least on this planet. Take it for a sign and go with it... you can always re-interpret later if you have to.

Question for the Muse-goers... Do you know if they're doing a 360-style thing? The Melbourne shows here were selling tickets all the way around the stage... Are they doing that in Europe?

I think I missed Tré. Sigh. I'll download the podcast of the show later, I guess.

I'm not sure why he'd be calling in to Radio From Hell, unless he's doing promos for Green Day Rock Band which comes out tomorrow. But he's famously said he sucks at Rock Band (and I've seen proof. He got frustrated and destroyed the drum set). Unless he knows of Geek Show Podcast, which is run by one of the hosts of Radio From Hell, and he knows that Kerry is a major gamer and so he's just calling in to chat with Kerry about it. Or the video game people are making him do promos. In either case, I'm completely surprised that he's awake before noon.

Got confirmation from Kerry - Tre's thing was just a promo interview for Green Day Rock Band. Hmm. Still want the podcast.

As if any of us wouldn't be in line for U2 Rock Band  Apparently after they saw how good a job had been done on Beatles Rock Band, U2 isn't reluctant to be in a video game anymore... :giggle: I pity the programmer who has to code Adam's 'fro or Bono's mullet

For GG as she doesn't have FB :)

New SP song. Would have posted in in our convo in support acts thread but felt like I'd derailed it enough. New SP song played last night in Bangor, Northern Ireland

YouTube - Big Broken - Snow Patrol (Ward Park 2010)

Quality not good but never mind.

Sorry to those who have already seen above video.

Ooh thankies! :D It sounds pretty cool, mellow like most SP songs. Will this be a new single?

I haven't bought Rock Band yet, but it's on my Amazon Wishlist. If U2 were to ever make a version, it would no longer be on my wishlist in a hurry.

I got in to work a bit early this morning, so I spent that extra time watching the videos I took in Vegas. My screaming in some of them is a bit crazy.  Damn, that was an awesome concert!!

I've no clue. Last time in November it was a regular 180 thing. :hmm:

If it happens. I'm buying. Full band pack. :fuckyeah:

The European shows are stadiums, so the setup is different. For the US arena shows, they had 3 towers that they stood on for part of the show. I'm not really sure how to explain it. Here's a pic I took.

Just a quickie before tea. :giggle:

I like it too.

No idea. :) New album is being recorded from September onwards, apparently could be out between February and July. :hyper::hyper::hyper::love:

I know you can break the IP country address thing so will post this for you. :shifty: Highlights from that Bangor show on BB Radio Ulster in half and hour. ( 8pm GMT ) Enjoy if you can. You might be able to get in on iPlayer on BBC wesbite otherwise later on.
