Crazy Tonight has a guitar piano melody that reminds me of a classical piece of music I can't pin down.

I can't believe how good this album is. Can it really be related to HTDAAB? Was bomb adopted? Even the tunes I'm not quite warm to yet (Crazy, Stand Up Comedy) have a ton of room to grow on me. And the best songs here are as good as U2 gets. Wow.

Listening to the album it's obvious what a bizarre choice of a first single it was...

GOYB fits into the place where it is. but its NO single. it´s go on this place because it rocks. and STAND UP is perfect afterwards.

This album is the album theyve always wanted to write as mature musicians.

Yeah they used to talk about ISHFWILF with they're attempt to make the perfect record and now they feel they did it. That probably will free them to look at albums differently from now on.

NLTOTH is much more intimate and darker then ATYCLB or the BOMB was. and...most important..it´s an ALBUM..not a collection of songs.

an ALBUM with a sad but great atmosphere. their mature masterpiece.

great thing about this album is that there is no OBVIOUS single...one is part of the other. all the things the last 2 records lacked. not to knock them...they had great SINGLES...this is U2 again caring not about singles...only songs...and places...and landscapes.

This is an artistic album -- It's what Bomb wasn't -- not to disparage Bomb -- which I personally love -- but I just got back from my neighbor's who ranks Bomb up with JT and he immediately turned his nose to this one and said, Ehhhhh????

I said -- You're mad man, mad!

But I bet this one will be Critically Hailed, though I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't do as well as Bomb / ATYCLB numbers wise -- It doesn't have a jump out single like Beautiful Day / Bomb.
