Bono on Oprah Monday 1/19

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

I don't watch Oprah, but doesn't her show repeat in the evening on her Oxygen Network? I am setting my DVR for her regular show time AND checking the line up for Oxygen!

That was one of the most silly america song ever, and why do all songs have to have the father word. Im amazed how brainwashed in religion the people in Usa are.

The song was meh. Don't need to hear that one again, so I guess I'm glad he was beamed in and not really there, lol.

That was really awkward having Bono sing on the screen with everyone else singing in person.

I don't think that song had anything to do with God. That would have been politically incorrect.

Watched Bono on Oprah. It's not something I'll download. But wow! Bono and U2 have been all over the airwaves. :hyper: I've been listening to a local radio station and they've been playing GOYB's every hour and 1/2. Then at 5 the radio station played GYOB, Bad (a live version) and COBl.
Watching Entertainment Tonight (which I seldom do) but snippets of U2's pride performance yesterday is being shown. Talking (there's Bono again) to Oprah now about her show today.

What a disappointment! I have never watched Oprah's show before, and this reinforces my decision not to watch it again. I sat through the great learned political pundits Demi Moore, Ashton Kucher, and Justin Timberlake holding forth their great opinions, then finally got to see Will.i.am, Faith Hill, Seal, and Mary J. Blige sing, with Bono on a video screen because he'd returned to Dublin. I don't know what I expected; I guess I thought Bono would actually be there. :reject:

P.S. Why does Faith Hill always have to interject "yeah" between the lines of any song she sings????

Don't give up, MrsPurrl! When Bono was in Oprah in 2002 I think, that's one of my favorite clips/interviews. I've only really watched Oprah when Bono is on (3-4 times now) and maybe if I'm sick during the day, but today's show was annoying at best. It's way better when it's her real show (ie, just her and Bono in the studio, not a bunch of other half-brained celebs).

I liked Oprah when Bono was on there. I taped them, so I can watch it again.

Me two and besides concerts, I have actually watched it several times. I also liked the After The Show or whatever it's called that they air on Oxygen and show clips that weren't cut into the real show. I like the lady that asks to sit on Bono's lap, lol.

I watched it on the Oprah website. Man, that song sucked! I'm glad Bono wasn't there to sing it live and that he only had a few lines. He shouldn't have been there at all, what an embarrassment, but Bono does what he wants to do. Horrible song.
