Your 2009 concert calendar

Yes, records are great too. Hearing that music wherever and whenever you want, always in the same quality. But live music can have that magical extra you cannot find on a record.

So which artists are you seeing live in 2009? List them here!

For the moment I have two concerts planned:
7 March: Zita Swoon, Rotterdamse Schouwburg, Rotterdam (so a seated theater concert)
11 April: Bob Dylan, Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam

DeVotchKa - January 28
Andrew Bird - Feb 25

Only thing planned so far is the Killers on February 4th.

January 31 - Broken Social Scene

A possible date with Mr. Andrew Bird in February.

So far, just the one:

29/01: The Triffids

Just one so far...

January 25 - The Killers, NYC

Although this is actually early for me to start concert season as I usually don't hit my first until May, March if I'm lucky. I think some of our schedules are going to be less varied this year, seeing as it is most likely a U2 year...

Two so far:
January 23: Mike Doughty
February 28: Bang On a Can All-Stars featuring Glenn Kotche from Wilco

LemonMelon 12-13-2008 10:42 PM

July 3: Blur

Fuck yeah.

martha 12-13-2008 11:17 PM

February 14--Sparks (I haven't seen them in over 30 years, so yeah... )

The beginnings of the Ring Cycle again:
March 1--Das Rheingold
April 25--Die Walkure

:D
