Happy Birthday Mick Jagger!!!

Happy Birthday to Mick Jagger who turns 65 today. Yes that is 65!!! :applaud:

He'll be old enough to qualify for Medicare. Richards joins him in that company.
That brings the total age for all four remaining Stones to 257.

He'll never be your beast of burden, because now if you tried to put anything on his back, he'd break a hip.

Keep on rollin', midnight rambler.

Something tells me Ron Wood's next birthday is going to be a lot better than Mick's...

I read a much longer report about this situation, where his publicist spoke out making it sounds as though Wood is mostly enamoured with this girl because she is his new drinking buddy, an enabler, who goes on binges with him, with no regard for his poor health, whereas his longtime wife, the rest of his family, and his friends are aware of his intense alcoholism and his precarious health, and try to discourage his drinking. It sounded like a sad situation. I'll try to find the link.

ETA - found it: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...-waitress.html

The publicist's statement from the article:

Quote:

Wood's publicist made the extraordinary move of speaking publicly about his curious relationship with the teenager yesterday.

The publicist said: 'She is a drinking partner. When you're an alcoholic and your family are all telling you to stop drinking you simply find someone else to drink with. You can see how it happens, you end up pushing away the ones you love because you don't think straight.

'He met her in a dodgy escort bar at four in the morning when he was boozed out of his mind. I heard she worked there, but doing what I don't know. It was a very dodgy scenario.

'He's fallen off the wagon big time. He's spiralling out of control and every time he returns to his drinking it's worse than before. He's not even clear-headed enough to check himself into rehab.

'He's in a very bad way. His son Tyrone has tried to speak to him briefly, but he's not even waking up until late afternoon. He's very much spiralling.

'He's on two bottles of vodka a day and he has a size 28 waist. He's not a massive man. He's an alcoholic who has worked up his tolerance to that amount. He is in contact with Jo but until he sorts out the booze problem, it's not Ronnie. Nothing can be resolved.
The article is much longer. It's fascinating, in a really sad way. I hope he gets his shit together.

If you can't figure it out after like 40 years in the music business, I don't know how much hope is left.

When Keith Richards has toned it down, you know it's time to chill.

Didn't Keith recently snort his dad's ashes with cocaine?

Nah, he just said it as a joke but the media thought it was for real.
