I was bummed that Vanessa quit. I realize it must have been really frustrating for her, but Gordon didn't think her injury was a reason to quit. If you had Gordon on your side, I would think that would be a pretty good reason to at least give it a try. She said she didn't want to get in the way and bring her team down...but what's the harm in trying? If she is getting in the way, all that she'd have to do is make the decision to step aside and let somebody else do it...and maybe she would have ended up going home as a result, but I still think that's better than just quitting. It would have been nice to see her overcome her disadvantage.

I agree BC, I was saying the same thing. Why not at least try.

I missed part of that! Before the commercial, it sounded like Gordon was encouraging her to stay, and I thought she would. During the commercial, I flipped in DWTS to see Def Leppard lip sync Pour Some Sugar On Me :| and when I went back to HK, she was gone. Was there much more discussion? Did she say why she ultimately decided to go?

Crazy, imo. I think Gordon would have respected her more for trying, and probably would have cut her some slack if she was slower in performing some of the tasks, and such.

I think she just really wanted to quit and used her hand as the excuse to do it.

She said before she left something about Heck's Kitchen being an immersion in fire and it was too much for her.

I thought it was cool that she could at least admit that.

At this rate I'd have to stay inside an entire day to catch up.
