I also think that some of these people must think the rest of us were born yesterday. They are "sacrificing" so we don't have to or the alternative, which is even better, that they are doing it to "assist" the venue security. And if you bring up lining up and staying in line, then it's all Manchester. Sorry but as far as I'm aware, the Manchester bombing wasn't an issue until very recently yet this line up BS has been around for several tours.
Like just admit you are obsessed with being right at the front at every show you attend (of which there are many) and that you are a bit of a control freak so you can't trust anybody but yourself with the list and you kind of enjoy being senior line warden or whatever. At least that's honest.
Oh and my personal favourite of "don't worry you can get a GREAT spot the day of, no need to line up that early!" Sure, that's why they want to be #1-20 at every show. Like hello??
It's just very high school. Get a cool kid clique together and make your own rules. Fine. Do what you want to do. But then don't complain when people are mad.
They talk about deserving a spot because they put in the time and effort. So part of that effort should be realizing that not everyone is going to be happy with you. Either start the line and deal with the people who are pissed and think you're lame or don't start the line. There is no need for the rest of us to be cruel, but it's also not going to be all sunshine and lollipops. There is a happy medium of being pissed off that people think they are the boss of me.
Just because you think people are being nasty to you doesn't necessarily mean they are actually being nasty.

funny, i notice a person that had a "high" number now from the list now has a much much lower number.
i am sure the list keepers are fuming.
well at least the heavy rain is to the sough so you won't get as soaked for the 3 hours you will have to wait in the rain. at least it is warm out.
i still hold out hope the roof will be off.

it's not supposed to start clearing up until 7 pm so sadly this is probably not going to happen. would be pretty neat if they open it up between the lumineers and u2 though.

I could have sworn that's what did take place for one of the 360 shows.
It takes 20 minutes to open so if the band wants it open and the weather is more stable, then I think there is hope. What will be a clue is if when you get inside, if you see part of the roof showing light outside, I believe it's on the east side towards the connection between the large sliding portion that goes over the fixed semi circle portion above the hotel then the roof is on stanby and ready to open. If I don't see that, I think they will keep it closed. I was worried they could not just flip the sound check from with to without the roof.

This is from a guy who has seen 99 or a 100% of every show so this tour, and has been at more than 100 U2 shows in his life. (that's why he got a stage played fucking harmonica from the Bono)
And apparently he still finds it necessary to complain about people being in front of him .

Im going to guess this is the same person from Boston who did this in Toronto in 2011 who, the next day, I saw running down a hallway at the island airport to retrieve the bag she left on the plane. She was healthy enough to run the line and call the shots for days but come showtime she required an escort to the front circa 4:30pm after spending the day in the hotel AC. She may have a knee issue,but fucked if she's doesn't use it selectively. I also saw her crying and muttering to herself after the Boston gig, walking completely perfectly unassisted with no cane. However, she is also a competing line nazi so I'm laughing that they're now fucking each other over. LOL
In addition I have a friend in a wheelchair who I hope is right up fucking front in front of all of them - he deserves it more than the lot. If that's who that other guy is talking about he can go fuck himself. Some people who are generally well liked need to pay attention to who they associate with too. PS - Update I see THAT friend of mine got upgraded to the Red Zone - there is a God!
