Yeah, the set is a bit flat, but we all need to remember that this is the first of 60-odd shows. More will show up, but they want opening night to be a solid performance more than anything else.

They probably wanted to ensure a solid set and not a PopMart Vegas disaster.

The problem when you have done so many world tours is that a lot of songs age and lose their freshness over time. Never thought I would say this but I now wish u2 would just do mini promo tours and concentrate most of their energy on making records.
