Periscope is an iPhone/iPad app. Droid isnt compatible yet. You have to have a direct link to view on a laptop or PC browser.

I'm watching it on my HP laptop using Firefox for a browser and yeah, the only way they're working for me is the == at the end of the direct link.

Look for periscope where ever you buy your apps. Or google it to see if there is Periscope for Android (or whatever phone have?)
