Yeap, no doubts about it.
To be clear, I respect a lot what they are doing and the people who like the kind of setlists they are presenting, it's just a matter of taste. I was expecting more creativity in the music, more ambition.

I haven't seen them do a stretch in a show Like sbs/raised by wolves/uteotw since popmart both musically and visually so I find that pretty creative.

Again each to their own but the whole I don't like it so its not creative argument is all a little much

The only problem with this show is that there's not much "wiggle room". Everything is pretty essential in its place. There needs to be 2-3 spots in the setlists where any random song can be inserted. Maybe somewhere in the first 5 songs before Iris and the SOI theme take over, then another free spot on the b-stage, and then another in the encore. Otherwise it's a solid, if not predictable, setlist. I hope I get to see "out of control" or "electric co"!

Not happy about the continued dropping of The Troubles.

I'm sure it didn't get an explosive reaction in Vancouver and now they're scared to do it ever again. It's just the kind of song the audience will sit down and watch, not actively engage in. Doesn't mean it's a bad song, or that the crowd didn't like it. Sometimes you need moments like that in a live show. If they'd just start their show half an hour earlier, they could play this and a few others, instead of having to cut it because they're worried about curfew. It's not like the have the opening band to consider!

Think it will definitely show up again in cities with more than 2 shows, but certainly appears like it won't be a regular which is a shame.....almost like original of the species

Agree about the Troubles. I find it a bit annoying that they decided to kick it out both nights in a row in what seems to be a last minute decision, just as if Bono was panicking over the song before it was supposed to start. Honestly, they need to give it a chance before they can judge the audience reaction, they've only played it once so far. Also, I agree about the set needing more SOI songs - I'd be fine with ALL of them including Lucifer and Crystal Ballroom. I don't get why Reach me now and Volcano are missing at all, they seem to be great songs to be performed live.

Could the omission of The Troubles have anything to do with Bono having vocal issues? He seemed to struggle with it in Vancouver, at least that was my impression based on the videos.

Don't worry baby, it's gonna be all right. Uncertainty can be a guiding light...

Don't ever base 90% of your expectations on 3 songs.

I really have no clue how you can expect "more creativity in the music", the songs are already written.

And once again: it's still early!!!

"Wait, fuck, we didn't put that on U2:18? Why did you only tell me this now?"

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
