I got to the box office around 10:20am yesterday morning since my train was delayed. Once I arrived to the box office I found out that I had just missed $35 obstructed view seats by a few minutes to a group of European tour group that had lined up outside a few minutes before 10am. About 10-15 were released. Once that happened nothing else was released until about 7pm. People lingered around the box office and the kiosks but nothing happened. The box office kept telling people that a cancellation line would start at 5pm but it actually started at 3pm. Not organized at all. They kept telling people to disperse and "walk around" until 3pm. Once 3pm arrived everyone ran towards the first "pen" like it was the running of the bulls. Pretty sure some people were trampled in the process. I was #8-10 depending on the time of the night. Some lady with her son cut in front of everyone and had a "list". Around 6:30pm some other person showed up with their own list. MSG doesnt recognize lists for cancellation lines so it was pretty amusing to see. Around 700pm security comes around offering 1 $100 seat obstructed and a few $280 seats. 730pm security comes around and offers about 5 $35 seats and a few more $280s. I took the $35. Not sure what happened after that. Once security offers you a ticket and you take it you're lined up and given a card with a number on it. They then escort you to the box office and tell the attendant what ticket/tickets you agreed to purchase.

And how were the $35 seats?

$35 were actually pretty good. I sat in 220 row 8, had a great view of the main stage and the screen. Although the estage was on the other side of the arena I was able to see everyone on it.

The big dude with the ponytail getting frisked has been a pain in the ass for fans for all shows.

Good to hear that at least some fans did manage to get their hands on tickets.

I don't have a personality that would allow me to go to a show without tickets, so I am just amazed at all these people. My friend Michelle above does have a ticket but Beth and Chris are trying for a pair. They have lucked out with $35.00 tickets for a bunch of shows. Hope their streak continues n

I met him in line. And randomly saw him in old neighborhood. He was fine to me. Said he went to show with wife. Didn't realize he was probably a scalper until much later.

Reports have been that he is the good cop and has tried to pass himself off as a fan, but when he answered that Vertigo was his favorite song, everyone immediately confirmed their suspicions.

I left MSG around 10. Got there at 9:15 expecting a regular line like the one other time I tried for tix day of. Security ruined any semblance of peace. There was a huge mob before they let anyone in so I left because at least 50 people pushed in front of me who showed up way later. I love U2, but not enough to get caught in a stampede of animals.

I put myself in that persons shoes. It's a sad life. And again plenty of fans that suck too as people. Anyway -- I'm glad that's not my life. Imagine when they have to pose as Taylor swift fans.

My husband stayed to try and get tix for me but by the time he got to the window they were gone. If there was a regular line we would have gotten, we were in the first 10 people who showed up this morning. Shame on MSG staff. What a disappointment!

Yeah never something I've done. After going to one show and having fun, was thinking of going today to see if I could grab something. Debating if I should even bother later.

I was going to maybe head in, see if the band came out (although I'm not sure where they do that, is it by the entrance to The Garden on 33rd?) and then go over.

Not sure where they come in from but I am sure it is easy enough to locate if you go to the area. :)

Ok, your intrepid reporter/instigator/gossip hound is going to try to do some work now.
