He had major issues with the 49ers front office. The relationship became extremely toxic because they didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things. In fact, it was not at all popular with Niners players. Hence why Gore left, Willis retired, etc. He basically got to experience the NFL, thrived at it, but hated the environment. He decided to come back and save his alma mater. The people who keep saying he'll be gone in 2-3 years are very, very wrong.
