In Argentina, the tourist season is from January until mid-February.. also La Plata it's not a tourist attraction

Okay.

Well I guess U2 booked every hotel room in a city, leaving none for fans, before the tour has even been announced.

Because that's a logical conclusion.

My experience with LaPlata is that the accomodations tend to be local chains or independent and most are small, and that they generally do not sell through the usual international booking sites, hence why you aren't coming up with rooms (try other dates, it will be the same thing). So I don't think the lack of rooms coming up on the major sites is indicative of anything. Some of the crew *may* stay in LaPlata but band, staff and entourage will definitely be staying in the city of Buenos Aires.
