Kaiser Chiefs: Okay, why not?
Black Eyed Peas: :crack:

yeah, if we get Black Eyes Peas in Chicago, it will decrease my chances of arriving to the stadium early.

I saw the Black Eyed Peas open for Dave Matthews and they were pretty good. I hope Elbow opens the NY shows!

there's nothing wrong with a hip hop act opening, so long as it's good. u2 has had some very good hip hop openers (public enemy, kanye west).

the black eyed peas, however, are NOT a good hip hop act. in fact, i hesitate to even classify what they do as 'music.'

Elbow  Snow Patrol  even Glasvegas is good.

Unfortunately none of them are confirmed for the US, probably won't happen.

Kanye West did NOT go over well with U2 audiences. I imagine B.E.P. will not either.

oh, and Powerhouse - your avitar has confused me on more than one occasion. 'Wait, I already posted in here?? "

Worst Support Line Up Possible for UK - Kaisers? Elbow? Black Eyed Peas? WTF

Dont know if this is worldwide or maybe just the UK as this is off the Cardiff Millenium Stadium Website

"In keeping with their long-standing tradition, U2 will welcome a number of different support acts to the tour including Glasvegas, Elbow, Kaiser Chiefs, Snow Patrol and Black Eyed Peas with additional artists to be announced."

The only exception is Glasvegas, they are quality
Kaisers - a joke band. Decent comedy act
Elbow - one decent album and people suddenly think they are The Beatles - a lot of filler on the seldom seen kid as well
Snow Patrol - another soft, depressing whiny girl band. One for the ladies. Their new stuff is diabolical
Black Eyed Peas - now....seriously....WTF are they doing here?

Should have been

Glasvegas
Doves
Fleet Foxes
and for a pop act James Morrison

The Kaisers write songs that reduce you to tears

The lyrics are so powerful

What did you learn today? (I learned nothin')
What did you do today? (I did nothin')
What did you learn at school? (I didn't go)
Why didn't you go to school? (I don't know)

It's cool to know nothin'
It's cool to know nothin'

Television's on the blink (there's nothin' on it)
I really wanna really big coat (with words on it)
What do you want for tea? (I want crisps)
Why didn't you join the team? (I just didn't)

It's cool to know nothin'
It's cool to know nothin'

Take a look, take a look, take a look at the
Kids on the street
No they never miss a beat
No they never miss a beat
Never miss a beat
Never miss a beat-beat, beat-beat
Take a look at the kids on the street
No they never miss a beat
No they never miss a beat
Never miss a beat
Never miss a
Never miss a beat
Never miss a beat

Here comes the referee (the light's flashin')
Best bit of the day (now that's livin')
Why don't you run away? (are you kiddin'?)
What is the golden rule? (you say nothin')

It's cool to know nothin'
It's cool to know nothin'

Take a look, take a look, take a look at the
Kids on the street
No they never miss a beat
No they never miss a beat
Never miss a beat
Never miss a beat-beat, beat-beat
Take a look at the kids on the street
No they never miss a beat
No they never miss a beat
Never miss a beat
Never miss a
Never miss a beat
Never miss a beat

There is no place for hip-hop at a rock concert

ALL hip hop is crap

Wow, aren't you open minded.

I can't stand hip hip myself, but I won't be saying that it's all shit. I'm sure there are people who like that kinda song.

The Kaiser Chiefs I do like, the other bands I don't know. Doves would've been nice. I'll go take a leak when the BeP are up then I guess.

i hope for Black Eyed Peas and Snow Patrol

I'll hope to going to Paris - Berlin - Amsterdam - London - Boston - East Rutherford

I've seen Kaiser Chiefs; they are quite good live. Can report back on Elbow after I see them this we1ekend.
