 I requested today off when I asked for yesterday off. After the fiasco of driving home from Charlottesville in '09, I had no idea of when we'd get home.

wow.. I admire ya.. I wimped out and called in sick today.. I am spent..

Had to compromise somewhere since I used a day for Denver (left from the office and came back straight to the office!), took two and a half weeks for vacation in March/April (La Plata :D) and taking the week after next off for Montreal (also stopping in Ottawa for Soundgarden). I'm surprised how well I am holding up. Bus pulled into NYC at 3AM, I walked through the door at home at 3:40pm (taxi fare to Brooklyn cost more than the bus r/t :p ), brushed my teeth and rolled into bed at 3:55am, got up at 8AM, rolled into the office only 10 mins. late. :D I did also sleep pretty well on the bus though.

I don't have too much to add, but I do want to reiterate how wonderful the stadium staff was. The guards were chatty, yet great at taking care of people who tried to push their way up. The stadium staff were so pleasant & friendly, and the GA experience was the most orderly I've ever seen. Great job all around! We should each write an email to the stadium to let them know hey rocked.

They did a great job in Red Zone too. I was on Edge's side on the rail in RZ and about 10 minutes before U2 came on, some drunk knucklehead tried to push his way in between the couple standing next to me. Was preparing to say something, but before I could the wife got all up in his grill telling him he better back the hell up! And she was a tiny little thing, but was taking no gruff. Still, the guy was continuing to be belligerent (while swaying back and forth from being overserved), so they called over the guards. The supervisor came over and quickly sized up the situation. Stared the guy down and said to him straight up "This is your only warning. Any more problems from you and you are out of here." His friends grabbed him and pulled him back and he was never heard from again.

Ever consider posting something positive or contribute in some way?

He does, often. Take for example yesterday's asylum seekers thread in FYM, based on solid interpretation of the details at hand and logically explained opinions.

I'm pretty sure my friend and I were right beside you at the show, she was directly to your right, me to hers (Tiny Brazilian girls immediately behind us). (hi from the newbie, also, she's apparently posted a thread, somewhere).

Oh, were you the one with the ginormous platform shoes? :D

Welcome to the board, simply! Glad to hear you got to see one of the best setlists of the tour, as well.

Plus, I got to hear 40 while I was waiting in the GA line with BeckC. So very awesome. I think now that I've actually posted, I might stay.

I see she's already answered, but no. I wouldn't be able to make it two feet in those shoes. I can barely walk on my regular flat shoes, half the time.

(I so wish I was going to another show this summer)

I was sitting in the first level behind the Red zone on Adam's side and the sound was very distorted. Did anyone else notice this?

The sound was great from the floor. When they played FedEx, I sat in the 200-level on Edge's side & thought the sound wasn't so great. It seemed like the speakers were aimed below us. Muse at that show was ridiculously loud, at least from our spot.

At Baltimore, it seemed to manlike Bono sounded like he'd sucked on helium for the first few songs, then sounded normal after that. I recall the same thing happening at the first DC Vertigo show, where I was in essentially the same spot (center rail of the ellipse). It probably has to do with soundchecking in an empty stadium vs. a full one.

Back in Florida after going to see the Baltimore show. Happy it didn't rain, but it may have actually cooled things off a bit, as it was quite warm and humid. I live in Florida, so its just another day for me. For the first time I can remember, I saw two bloodied idiots get escorted from the GA area just before the show began. I never recall seeing an altercation escalate like that at a U2 show. I got to hear Stay for the first time live, which was a personal highlight (sadly, me and one other guy in our section even knew the words). Phone service was absolutely horrible, which means nonexistent. A great time, though. I get to do it one more time in Miami!
